    Hey guys, I have a 2004 Tacoma, 4wD extra cab. I have a fiberglass Tonneau cover which I took off years ago in lieu of a camper shell. Somehow I managed to lose the hydraulic arms and am trying to replace them now. I'm not sure what size support arms I should be looking for. Wondering if anyone here has a similar cover on their truck and could help me determine the correct size arms? Thanks.

    -Will help if you know what brand cover
    -Call the manufacture?
    -Measured the mounting to mounting location (while closed) and go to your local auto parts and check their lift support selection?

    I have a SnugTop tonneau cover which would nearly be identical. Here is the part number for what I used. You might need to swap the ball studs on the truck or tonneau but that’s expected with new struts.

    So there is no brand indicated anywhere on the cover. It was on the truck when I bought it. I measured from the ball studs to roughly the front edge of the tonneau cover and it's about 36 inches. Can't remember if the rods are fully closed when the cover is down so wasn't sure if 36 inches is what I should be looking for?

    36 inches sounds way foo long. Are you measuring between the two mounting gas stut points when in the open and closed positions?

    Not sure what the “front edge of the tonneau” has to do with the gas spring size?
