I installed a Magnuson S/C with 2.8" pulley and methanol on my 1GRFE at 186k miles and runs fine as long as you don't try to overboost it. Currently has 219k miles.

How many miles on it now? How long has it been on it?

I installed in early 2019 and the engine has 219k miles on it. Only thing I've had to do is replace the drivebelt and replace the tensioner since it snapped. Pretty common with underdrive pulleys.

    I don’t think you’ll have any issues.
I’d say the engine will handle it better that your pockets.

The boost is key...overboost and youre in for a very short lifespan..and whoever tunes it. DO NOT DIY a tune unless you REALLY know youre stuff

So Ive never tuned a Taco, but I know on Camaros, its SUPER easy to screw a parameter up and thats all she wrote..If youre getting a tune with it, "hopefully" they know what theyre doing, and all should be gtg...also Ill add this, there are ALOT of guys with 100k on their Camaros and boost them, and they will run for another 100k without an issue...mileage really isnt a big deal unless you have something already on the way out. Again, never tuned a Taco, but Camaros will take boost and a tune super well regardless of miles

Yeah they're pretty expensive now. When I bought mine from URD a few years back I paid $4600 complete with tune. Now they're over $6k smh. The Magnuson kit comes with a BullyDog tuner that has a pre-installed tune. Just follow the instructions to load it into the ECM. I havent had any issues with it.

I’d go with a Magnuson sc instead of pro charger. But that’s up to you.

Mileage isn't the critical factor. Engine health is.

A full compression / leakdown test and a Blackstone Labs oil test would be good first steps of assurance.
