What’s up guys. I have a 2009 access cab pre-runner and am looking for a rugged roam cargo case or a pelican case to store on my roof rack for tools and camping supplies. Let me know if you guys are trying to sell one or know about one for sale in socal or surrounding areas. Thanks in advance

You can search on any hunting/camping supplies stores such as Cabela's or Bass pro shop for plano cases. It'll be cheaper than pelican brand cases.

Honestly the Hazard Fraud cases are not bad. I have a couple of the smaller ones that I've been throwing around for several years.

I haven't tested them to see what plastic formulation they are but they do appear to be UV stable.

They aren't glass reinforced like $5000 equipment cases but they aren't $5000 either. I believe the rifle cases are used by a lot of people as permanent install roof boxes.

    More than I can afford
I have had one (HF rifle case) bolted to my roof rack for a couple of years now.
Dry as a bone inside. Only sign of wear is the metal reinforcements around the padlock holes are rusty.
They are 70-80% the quality of a Pelican case at abt 50% the price (I have a few Pelicans as well). And you don't feel guilty modifying the HF ones to suit your needs.

Thank you guys! I really appreciate it. It was painful to think about dropping $500 on a gear box, so the other brands are really helpful

I had plano cases for about a year, then they warped in the sun and started leaking. Finally had to just pull them off.

Grab a Harbor Freight Apache 9800 when they go on sale. I have a lot of pelican cases for my rifles and after getting this Apache case I don’t see the need to spend the extra money, particularly on something for the truck like this. Mine has never leaked and let water in. I keep all my recovery gear in it.

Bummer - no issues with mine so far... two years and counting.
