Hey everyone. First post here so please don’t crucify me if I missed this answer somewhere in my search. But I got my first Tacoma today, a 2021 TRD Sport 4x4 in Army Green, and I love it. I have a laundry list of mods I want to do including (of course) a good lift, tires and wheels. But I have a chance to get some new 17” SCS wheels *TODAY* with the -38 offset I want, but I’m wondering if they’ll rub with stock height and stock 265/65’s.

Essentially I just want to put my current tires on the -38 SCS’s and add the lift and tires later on down the road when I can afford what I want. but I’d like to give it some stance NOW. Has anyone put -38 wheels on a stock truck with stock tire size (265/65/17)?

I have SCS Ray 10’s that are 17” with the -10 offset. The Michelin 265/65/17 tires rub very slightly on my Weathertech mudflaps on full turns.

I’m pretty sure those -38’s are going to rub.

I would not advise the purchase.

But them. You will not regret it after you do all of your mods. I wish I would have at least jumped to 17" rims when I bought mine. That offset will let you do the Archive garage rear shock relocate. I wouldn't think they would rub at all while stock. It may look a little funny stock though with how much they will stick out. But everyone likes a little poke. :boink:
