Did mine two years ago and had the same success to stop the take off vibration after a 3” lift that axle shim and carrier bearing drop didn’t fix.

It's $60 for 36 sqft on Amazon. It took me roughly 54 sq ft to do my entire access cab

Not today but yesterday I installed some jet black alpharex headlights and man does this thing look so much newer. I am really pleased so far with these headlights. The whole install took me about 4 hours I would say the hardest part was getting that third bolt. Also getting the fuse tap through the firewall which honestly should not have been that hard but it was.

It is held on by Foam mounting tape. If the tape fails the panel will be glued down.

I am Going to seal the edge today, just to try and keep crap from getting under it.
There was an option for a vinyl decal to go under the panel and protect the paint, I did not do that.
I'm not worried about keeping the paint pristine, I'm not going to ever sell by baby!

Was going to put 3rd gen suspension on the 2008 this weekend but ended up tackling other tasks. Finally dug up and stacked bricks and cinder blocks that were buried in the yard from the previous owner (I bought this house in 1993). Had 2 huge slabs of excess concrete, from my shop build, I have been mowing around for 15 years so dug deep and buried those. Been digging up bushes and stumps for 2 weeks to get my fence line cleared. Then my shop a/c has been struggling (looks nasty because it's by my polishing area) so I put in a 2nd window unit (from room addition not needed in 2 years) on the machining side. Now have 2 overhead heaters and 2 window a/c units and quickly dropped to 73° on a 95° day. Not the things I wanted to do but certainly things I needed to do. Maybe next week the front end will get done.

Ditto on the suggestion. I would have painted it around the tape.
Also worried about that panel flying up into the windshield while driving. :(

Transmission fluid change (Redline MT-85) and swapped back to the factory tail lights. The load resistors in both of my Spyder/Tcmabeast tails failed resulting in hyper flash issues while using the turn signals. They lasted almost 3 years and ~40k miles but I think I'll be sticking with the OEM assemblies and just swapping in some VLED replacement bulbs moving forward.

This is what I bought. Haven't installed it yet but looks promising. Right now I have black silicone around it so far it's holding but I want to replace the gasket.

Has anybody here taken the carpet out of their second gen and used the carpet paint stuff to paint it black? I'm tired of finding a crashed base model 2nd gen to rob the carpet out of it

I had a rear wheel cylinder go out on me this weekend while I had the truck pretty far from home fishing. I was able to source the cylinder at an auto parts store and get it on. The symptoms were obviously the reservoir losing fluid but what made me check it all out was the parking brake light and vsc light coming on. I noticed a trail of brake fluid coming from behind the drums.

On the plus side a buddy of mine had a drill press he wasn’t using that was in the area so I was able to pick that up once I wasn’t leaving a trail of brake fluid.

Heads up that kilmat is a Russian product. I bought a box a couple months ago and noticed the tag. I used dynamat in my taco.
I pulled mine out and installed vinyl. It's black and I can wipe down my floor :D
