I had one like this I've painted a few tractors with but I think I left it at my parents when I got married. That was almost 12 years ago. For $23 I figured it was worth it to not even try and mess with the old one, even if it's still there.

Wife wants to spruce up the kids play area beside the store. She told them to take down the old cafe. They got the roof off and Cole stepped on a board and ran a screw into the bottom of his foot. Must of been self tapping :anonymous:

I was looking for 209 primers yesterday for a muzzle loader. Found some at 2 places, both were around $69 for 1,000 (I don't need that many but whatever) went to check out and shipping was $29 and they both said I had to order $200 plus in stuff. No thanks!!!

    Well water, minerals, etc:

The well that serves the garage had sulfur smell and so much gas that the water wouldn't flow smoothly from the faucet, it would spit and pop, the water would change colors even. I don't use the water much and always felt that contributed to the problem.

Lots of gas drilling was going on (Marcellus Shale) and this Engineer kid came around doing a survey and taking samples. He observed the water and said "I can help you with that". He changed the well cap out for one with a vent -- a standard cap with with a hole for a 1" x 6" tall pipe nipple held to it with two conduit lock nuts and an oil tank mushroom vent on the end.

To be honest I was thinking "yeah, right" -- the original cap isn't air tight... At this point I would have bet $10 there would be no change.

Ran the water for two pump cycles and the spitting and color changing were gone! Several years have gone by and the problems have never returned. You can build you own for $10, just need a big drill bit.

Yesterday I saw the guy I know who has the Ford Bronco, I ask him if he wanted to sell it. He said no it's all original with a 289

He also tried to tell me they only made 500 with the 289, I have learned to not argue with people over what they want to believe.

I have found zero evidence of this claim and found this on wiki....

    "Powertrain
At its August 1965 launch, the Bronco was offered with a 170-cubic-inch inline six.[11] Derived from the Ford Falcon, the 105-hp engine was modified with solid valve lifters, a 6-US-quart (6 L) oil pan, heavy-duty fuel pump, oil-bath air cleaner, and carburetor with a float bowl compensated against tilting. In March 1966, a 200-hp 289-cubic-inch V8 was introduced as an option.[11] For the 1969 model year, the 289 V8 was enlarged to 302 cubic inches, remaining through the 1977 model year. For 1973, a 200 cubic-inch inline six became the standard engine, offered through 1977.

To lower production costs, at its launch, the Bronco was offered solely with a three-speed, column-shifted manual transmission and floor-mounted transfer case shifter (with a floor-mounted transmission shifter later becoming a popular modification).[11] In 1973, in response to buyer demand, a three-speed automatic transmission was offered as an option.[11]"

I find it VERY hard to believe they only put 500 289's in Broncos from March 1966 to 1969 when they went to the 302

Perhaps he means there are only 500 remaining -- the thousands of other 289 powered ones rusted away or got beat into the ground. ;);)

His words, exactly.."they only put 500 289's in the Bronco that were left over from the Mustang because they went to the 302 in it" o_O

I just looked at those Icon Broncos. Holy crap that's expensive. It'd be cool, but no way.

    none yet
    I'd believe only 500 in 66
but only 50 a year over the span of the production run, I don't buy it

I just searched and found they didn't start putting the 302 in the Mustang until 1968 so that makes no sense to his 500 claim.

Small rant since we're amongst friends here...

We have a select few people we will let their drivers of dump trucks get diesel then the owner will come pay for it before we close at 7. When we have to start calling at 6:30 to remind them it gets old, quick. 2 weeks ago we let a driver get fuel (around $250 worth and they been doing this for a couple years) and my wife called and called and called. This was on a Thursday, the fiance came by Friday after we closed and gave us partial payment. FINALLY paid us in full on Saturday.

Yesterday she sends my wife a message and ask if their driver can get fuel and they will come pay for it. My wife said they can get all the fuel they want as long as they pay for it before pumping.

    No response since.

We are fortunate enough to be cheaper on diesel than anyone around us at the moment.

I ask my wife last night, if they can't get fuel from us without paying for it first, where are they going to get it? That leads us to believe they had no intention to come pay for it yesterday and we made the right decision.

There are big name stores all around us and I am sure they don't let anybody do that.

    End rant.
