I wonder how that roofing peel and stick ice and water shield would hold up. I've wrapped and sealed metal posts on roofs with it. My tacoma getting new frame soon looking to plug it up also. I don't want to go through that again.

I got a 'cap plug', which is a plastic plug car manufactures use....Its about 2 1/2 - 3" inches in diameter. I cut the inner lip with a sheet rock knife as the plastic plug is not metric. I then mixed up JB weld spread a bead all around the permiter of the cap plug & held it in place until it was able to stick by itself.....The next several days I took a screwdriver & tried to loosen it, and its securely on there.... I should also note I did this when the truck was brand new, when I completely rust proofed the undercarriage with military grade RP 342 Translucent wax coating.....www.cosmoline direct.com

Any one have a diagram or information on the stock plug kit, bought the kit because dealer replaced frame and didn't/wouldn't install kit. Just looking to put the correct plug in correct place

Bought a complete set from Toyota last week and had my 2013 plugged by the dealer’s mechanic who specifically works on coating, plugging and replacing Toyota frames.
I was told this was everything they used when doing the frame servicing for those who qualified under the extended warranty program. The two isolated pieces on top of the bag I’m sure have their own part numbers, the parts guy told me this is how they all came, and that this was the complete set. The plugs ran me $82.00 I believe.
The plugging job done by Toyota was $210.00F1D8EBE0-384D-454F-9365-F00439979242.jpgF2EDE2CC-1E4F-4A19-8916-F6B55B6D0812.jpg

I lost my driver side plug in the wheel well, not sure it’s a frame plug though. Anyone have any ideas? The picture is the passengers side.

another Tacoma guy had an idea to run these(see attached)

I’m give it a go they’ll be much stronger than the cheap plastic.

also thank you to the guy who started this thread I was missing frame plugs #4 & #19 and I just ordered them through my Toyota dealer.

I realize this is an old thread...

If there's anyone reading through it for the first time, I plugged that big hole by the cab mounts with the head from a small plunger I found at a local hardware store. I unscrewed the wooden handle leaving just the circular head and jammed it in there to prevent debris from entering the frame that way.

Anyone happen to know if plug #4 will fit this hole next to the T-case?

I had my annual frame inspection done this week. It was inspected, treated with the CRC.

The frame was inspected and given a thumbs-up/no trouble found. Note: Re-application/touch ups of the CRC is/are not included as part of this inspection. I checked their work today and noted the oblong seal on the inner passenger side of the boxed section of the frame was missing. Drivers' side in place. I'm assuming there should one on both sides, and I have a call in asking them to confirm. I found this thread today looking for that info. Noting that all the seal part number and kits numbers here (Thank You!) I decided to check the service invoice from last year to check if there were any part numbers on it: There are. Thought it might help someone some day. I don't believe they match anything already here. I entered these parts numbers on the Boch South parts website and they all came up as valid. Here they are:

    1 04008-07735 Plug hole kit, CRC A
1 04008-21104 Plug hole kit, CRC AP
    2 90950-01987 Plug, hole

I'll figure out if all of them are in place using the pics in here while I'm doing my fall Fluid-Film and paint touch ups and I'll just order them myselfM I'm also going to address the cab mount holes.

NOTE: A few here in the forum have noted one of the frame lamination areas (middle?) on both sides was not treated wih CRC. (Mine wasn't either.) Checking it today, there is rust now developing there >>on the passenger side only<< that was not there last year. It's fairly minor but it gives you pause. I will be treating these laminations aggressively with paint, Fluid Film and likely a coating red Lucas chassis grease. Check those areas on your truck soon.

The part numbers on the plastic bag is still valid and is priced on a Toyota dealer web site for: $7.32. The part number on the box comes back as $27.

As it turns out that plug does not fit that hole. The corners are a little too rounded

I know this thread is older, but no one has come up with a plug for the cab mount frame hole that I know of.
This is what I used on my 2015 ac sport.
Been in place for several years.

I remember seeing that thread you linked, but searched and couldn't find it.
Also seen you had trouble with the plug the op used.
This plug is tapered so might fit some holes better.
Just another option, thanks for the heads up!

Any chance they are doing the frame swaps still by chance? I don't have alot of rusting issues but could see to where it's starting to show.
