So like hypothetically, how would one go about LTing a macpherson strut style suspension? Longer arm and angled strut? Extension from strut to hub?

Curious to see what you come up with to address the clutch master cylinder as it's fed from the brake master reservoir.

If you find anywhere selling the crossover lines as a stand alone item, let me know please. The truck line is a 10, the mc is a12.

get the TRD offroad 6 speed reservoir from the 09+ tacos. They have atrac and a separate hydraulic booster so the clutch reservoir is separate.

SOS Performance, who makes big brake kits, says to use one of these but I haven't taken the time to figure out how to plumb it yet.

that would probably work just as well, but yes I’m sure some adapters and fittings will be needed to mate it up either way.

    Edit: I figured it out
Where does it even feed into? A quick glance at the MC and it wasn't obvious, but I didn't look very hard.

the nice part about the Toyota one you could probably get it from a pick n pull and the bracket has a mount that will to bolt up to oem holes in the inner engine bay Area by the fender.

Mine is setup with the separate reservoir if you wanted to do some comparing and measuring for the other reservoir and fittings.

Well, I feel pretty confident it isn't a head gasket...I think it is just protesting not being dailied anymore. It has been hot here...100+ degrees for a few weeks with humidity way up because of monsoon season...and the Taco hasn't been driven more than out of the driveway to get the trailer out and back in. I changed the oil today and topped off the fluids. The oil was dirty but has no sign of coolant. I took it for a drive afterward. Initially, it was sluggish and bogged when i gave it gas, it also had quite a bit of smoke/steam in the exhaust. After coughing and sputtering a bit (backfiring a few times) it began to run smoothly again and then would accelerate normally (it would also downshift and rev up if i gave it heavy throttle). The exhaust also quickly cleaned up and stopped smoking/steaming. After letting it idle in the driveway when I got back for about 45 minutes, it consumed no coolant (it actually put a little more than I added back into the overflow). I think I am chalking it up to sitting for extended periods of time and the gas maybe going stale/bad...?

Is there a fuel filter I can change? ( I don't think there is, but just wanted to double check.)

Huh, that's odd! And no, it's all one unit with the fuel pump I believe. I'm not sure what would cause those issues but I'm also not that well versed in engine related problems.

Well lucky for you that's exactly where I ended up putting them.

Just be glad you don't have the SAIS pump eating up all the juicy real estate under your hood. :annoyed:
