I should have said off-road competitions…like mudding and rock crawling.

I hit 105 going downhill once, got scared and backed off, speedometer stops at 110 anyway.

Edit so I don’t get banned: kilometers an hour *

LOL - I have no idea. I tend to never break 70 and get nervous when traveling even at that speed. I guess it is like how many licks to the center of a tootsie roll pop.....I'll never know.

I've been up to ?mph and that's as fast as I want to go. It's not a race car, and the suspension isn't built for speed.

Still waiting for a the day when a cop tries to pull me over for speeding like buddy this thing accelerates like a semi. Think it hit 80ish passing on the interstate before? Not stock wheels/tires so who really knows? When it starts shaking I know its too fast.

    1. That’s idiotic behavior.

    2. This community is not the place to admit or discuss this type of reckless behavior.

I get antsy getting this thing up past 65. Who cares how fast it can go, the real question is will it stop? Go look at a wrecked first gen and try to figure out where your body would fit in that mess.

I've done a mod or two
I've wrecked one, flipped her right over and drove for two more days, 600ish miles. Definitely hit 105 on a closed course in another, that is the speed limiter BTW

Lol, if you use the overdrive on the side of your shifter when you hit speed limiter, you can go up to 115mph

Someone once told me that there’s nothing so dumb that somebody won’t do it. Why on earth would somebody care about how fast a vehicle meant to be a reliable source of transportation and light hauling and towing can go? I guess we were all young once but I am glad I survived those days.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
    Speaking of a C5A I think the top speed out of a C130 ramp is 120 feet/second /second .

It has been a few years my numbers might be off but close .

That would be your Top speed in a Tacoma the stop might be a little rough on things

Don't worry, maybe he'll tell us the top speed of a long travel Tacoma for whenever he buys his new suspension. He's got like 4-5 threads on the subject.

I was just as guilty 45 plus years ago.

Though not near the population in those days

Dunno why you'd need to go over 80, but I've been in a friend's 3rd gen runner when he tried to go over 100 and no I would not do it again.

Way funner to see how fast y' kin get around corners!
My '99 does pretty well, or she did when her shocks were good, but the '20 Sport carves nicely. Way more fun above 3500 rpm!

I've got my Tacoma to 80 on I-70 in Utah (the speed limit) and that's fast enough for me and my 22-year-old Toyota. Older and wiser now than when I was in my youth, glad I survived. It's not a Mustang Gt or Dodge Challenger.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Having hit 90 once in the Tacoma.

no just no. These trucks do not want to go that fast on a highway… I have an mr2 that’ll kill me instead - but at least I could blame that on driver skill
