Anyone have the diagram or know where I can find it?

I want to get rid of the two incandescent bulbs and instead have a single aftermarket LED (Amazon) installed.

Seems like the two bulbs are wired in parallel and not in series. So, I just completely eliminate the wiring for one of the bulbs and wire the LED to the wires of the remaining bulb? Just wanted confirmation before I start causing damage...

Can you share a link to the actual product you’re considering?

    Uh what?

Just wire a bulb up; you may have to eliminate one of the sockets if you're only using one end instead of two.

    Use a multimeter where applicable.

I remember tapping into my factory light and going aftermarket due to my swingout bumper.

    Super easy.

I'll angle it properly so it doesn't. The reason for aftermarket light is because I'm eliminating the bumper and mounting the plate on the tailgate.

On second thought, I'm thinking of just leaving the second socket's wiring untouched (just removing the bulb). I might want to wire something else to that connection in the future.

Naw, I had one similar to that.

It's just the angle the seller is using; it does indeed shine down towards the plate and not out toward the crowd.
