Got a weird extra knuckle thing after getting a big ass thorn in the same spot about 10 years ago. Not a major deal just looks weird and though it might make a good thread.

Don't have pics, but I have had to use a lot of tools to get my brother out of many situations with a size 18 treble hook.

What’s the grossest thing you found in a pool skimmer?

Once I had to go out of town for work and when I came home my pool was cloudy and the water was barely coming out of the outlets. I take the lid off the skimmer and there was a baby bunny that had fallen in and been sucked into the skimmer. He was all swollen up and some of him had been sucked down the hole.

…still wasn’t as gross as your finger.

I can respect that. Lotta porns start out with a California pool guy. Discreetness must be a prerequisite.

I still have a small piece of a hammer in my arm.
I never knew smacking 2 hammers together could send shards of metal screaming down range like a bullet. You can actually pick it up with a metal detector.
I mentioned it to my doctor once, he said it better to leave it in there if it isn’t bothering me.
But he also said, my body could reject it and send it back out one day. And to not “pick it out myself” if it does.

Been in there 10 years I guess. Every once in awhile I’ll feel it if I get an itch and scratch that area.

If you cannot get the claws of a hammer under the head of the nail. NEVER use another hammer to beat the head of the other hammer. There is a reason they make nail pry bars, and they are actually softer steel than the head of a hammer just for that reason.

Diapers, animals of all kinds. Worst was the crow, legs were sticking out of the skimmer. Scariest was a 14 inch alligator lizard. When you reach into a skimmer and grab scales and live in rattle snake territory :annoyed:
Bunnies, mice, moles,I have pretty much seen everything and had it explode as you pull it out of the water.
BTW, you don't want to know how much fecal matter and urine is in the water. :anonymous:

Not enough bandwidth on the internet to list.
I don't have a good pic because I was fishing by myself and had no "spare hand" but I did similar with a 3/0 Gamakatsu flippin' hook completely THROUGH the entire finger, barb out, after deflecting off the bone. The difference? I still had about a 4 pound feisty largemouth bass still attached to said hook! Talk about pain and panic! The pain was brutal but I just knew from previous experience, the longer I left it in, the absolute worse it would be and I panicked. I grabbed pliers and tore it out with the fish still connected and going apeshit! That was the worst. The absolute worst. I went a saw the Doc after that one because I knew the potential for a serious or even deadly infection was very real due to certain bacteria in the lake water.
