Need help finding this fuel line part (2003 Tacoma V6 Double Cab 2WD)

Hello Everyone,

I own a 2003 Tacoma Double Cab 2WD. A rat chewed on the fuel line that runs from the fuel pump to metal fuel line (fuel was going everywhere with the engine running). I pulled the line and included a picture here. It's a hard plastic / vinyl tube enclosed in a rubber outer tube with two fuel line disconnect on the end (the type you have to use a fuel line disconnect tool on). I cut away some of the rubber when removing it. I'm having trouble finding this part. Does anyone know the part # or have a link to the part?

I could probably rig up my own makeshift solution using some 5/16 or 3/8 inch fuel line and some fuel line connectors. I'm hesitant to do that though. All over the truck standard fuel line is used but this specific connection from the fuel pump uses thsi very specific part. I feel like Toyota must have done that for a reason and this is a high pressure line I'm sure as it delivers the fuel to the engine.

I think this is it - gonna order - fingers crossed. I'll update this thread. For now going to leave a few notes for anyone else that may stumble across this thread down the road.

Getting to the end of the hose that connects to the fuel pump is a real pain! I received advice to pull the 6 bolts that mount the bed to the frame which would give me the ability to raise the drivers side of the bed and slip in a few 2x4's, giving me room to get to the hose end on the fuel pump. I did this only to realize this will work only if you have an access cab or single cab. If you have a double cab like me, the cab sits over the fuel pump and trying to get to it by lifting the bed won't work. I wasted a lot of time here.

I was able to use a cheap round fuel line disconnect tool and get the line off while laying under the truck. It was a pain but I got it done. Your only other option is to drop the whole fuel tank which is a lot of work.

 

I don't know if this applies to your double cab, but I was trying to fix a P0456 code a while back by replacing the vapor pressure sensor on top of the pump/sending unit assembly. I was able to avoid any major disassembly by using a mechanic's mirror and a light on top of the tank. All the fuel lines and connectors were in my way, so I'd think they could be reached with the same technique.

You could probably replace that formed line with a stainless one if you can find the right aftermarket fittings. I don't know if Earl's, Edelbrock, Aeroquip, etc make those specific push-lock ends, but someone likely does.

There's also the factory option.
