Yep, everytime I think I’m starting to do good I build another rifle and it puts me further behind. Shooting them doesn’t help either but screw it. I’ll get there eventually

I believe that’s one of those questions like how big of a tire can I fit without a lift.
Enough is not running out when it’s needed

Is there even an ammo shortage anymore? I can find ammo everywhere I go and online you can get pretty much any caliber you can think of. If you’re not using online to buy ammo now then that’s on you. The 2nd amendment is under attack like we have never seen before and I’m going to continue to keep stock pilling and not worrying about others!

I miss those days. For some reason i was stocking up on 7.62x54r for my Mosins and .357 mag and neglected the rest. :annoyed:. Was having too much fun with the big boom sticks, haha.

Wish i would have been getting some .410. Now my oldest has an over under that shoots it and its the only thing i have issue finding, somewhat, plus the .410 premium you pay hurts, lol.

Oh, the 20% off haul from Academy showed up. Figure it will be fine for the truck gun.

Not sure if it's this exact one but I love the holosun that's on my AR. Does this one have the little solar panel on it? Been running mine for the past 5 years now no issues

So since this is a truck forum I’ll combine that with this thread. I apparently won’t be buying much, if anything, for guns for a while as I had to order a set of tires for the truck. It blew me away how much they’ve gone up since I bought the last set but got another just like them since now I’ve got a good 70k miles out of these

I understand what you mean. I'm at 9k on some 60k tires and I doubt they will make it to/through the winter. Thankfully, I have the Big-O warranty on them and won't be $ out of pocket. But, looking at prices of new ones made me happy I won't be paying. Instead, I'll be ordering a Banish 30.

I got a used Benelli Nova barrel with a rusted choke and camo finish. 125.00. For 40.00 I had a local smith pop the choke out and saved it. Now, I just need a new bead that will work with my rear ghost ring sight.

You should see what the cost of paint has done.

Just paid $470 for 9 gallons of interior paint with a 50% discount nice to have neighbors with 40 year old Dunn Edward's accounts

Sadly it appears everything has gone up except our, or at least my, income. I am just glad I’m in a spot now, with house and all but one vehicle paid for, where I don’t have to worry as much.

I got the sticker shock on tires a while back, when i picked up a lag bolt in one of mine. I was sitting around 50k, so i just purchased the other 3. Luckily i had tire certs and DT replaced one off the cert.

I am also a procurement supervisor at a small mfg, so have got to see all the fun prices increases first hand the last 2-3 years. Just bought some 6" sched 40 pipe the other day for $28 a foot. 2-2.5 years ago it was $11, lol. Industrial paint we use is about the same, along with everything else.

I was also building our house when covid hit, but was fortunate enough to miss most of the price increases or offset at least. Being in procurement, i saw it coming and loaded up on all the wiring and lumber, before it really started to pop off. I am capable enough, that i was able to wire my own house on my own, did the plumbing, gas line, and fireplace (among other things). So that helped me to offset some increases. Then was happy when the interest rates plummeted and was able to do a 15 year on what 30 year would have cost me (payment wise) when i started building.

Too bad my pay hasnt went up over the last 3 years (like 0 raises), to keep up with inflation. Corporate types can keep blaming covid, while they line their pockets and continue to use it as an excuse for no raises.
