yes, Hellbenders is more of a “rite of passage” type of thing. First time was in 2006 on dual sports. So every new person I took down there we would always eat Friday Night at Hellbender than disappear on cannaan loop for the evening. Never the best dinner, but something we always just do. ;)

I did learn a hard lesson on Cannan Loop about obeying storm warnings. We grabbed the site accross the water and had heavy storms all night.

Arriving at night , very low water.

Riding back after a night of heavy rain!

we both made it accross but it was really sketchy and the current was really pushy!

The most disappointing part was that the flavors are there, but our burritos were literally 95% rice. She said there’s an Italian spot there that’s really good that we were too late for.

Was the Italian Place Siriani’s? I ate a meatball hoagie last time. It was great.

    Yeah that’s the one.

Best Italian I’ve had in WV is in Williamstown at DaVinci’s. Right off 77 if you’re ever in that area.

Finally moved out of Morgantown, and smack. Truck on 79S exit out of Westover hit me with a chunk. I literally just had this changed and was on my way to get it inspected. Can’t get it in for a month now because .. why not. Needs some paint matched where it hit and scratched down to the metal.

But at the right angle, it still looks okay. Getting KM3s loaded up in a week or so since these things just pack gravel and I’m down in the woods of Jackson Co. a lot these days.

I’ll probably get down to either cannan loop, or maybe down by the River outside of Hendricks Saturday night. Would be coming through Morgantown, Masontown over the high bridge to Albright, over Calvert Shaverton down snake road to canyon rim, to Davis. Or some variation. Is anyone going to be out?

I'll be down in Fayetteville with her and heading to *the* bridge and the grist mill house or whatever it's called #NotAGoldenHorseshoeWinner

Be safe going up into the mountains. Last time I went, they had just paved the roads and they had those miniature markers on the road to indicate lanes, but it was less normal driving and more Mario Kart 64 rainbow road. Unless they've painted lines in now.

The weekend was great. We had rain yesterday around 4:00 . The sun came out and we had a nice night. We had some light rain this morning for maybe 30 minutes.

I’m tying to figure out this YouTube stuff. It’s nice to engage your locker every once in awhile. https://youtu.be/Ze8zZDlKobQ

We went down to the bridge today. My first time. Jeep didn’t love the road down as much as smaller, more nimble vehicles. Ended up with a real nice trip. We stopped in Fayetteville for linner and did some snooping around at The Hobbit Hole antique shop.

I was out at some Sleepy Creek gravel roads with some moto friends on Sunday. It was hot, but still fun. Brand new KTM took a nap

We spent the entire weekend in the rain. Camped Friday in the Laurel Fork Wilderness and last night on Canaan Loop.

this was the actual sky Friday night. I’ve never seen anything like it.

We’re going to be in Tucker Co. for her job in a few weeks for a couple of days and I’ll be WFH(otel). Can’t wait to see it as the weather has changed. Hopefully it’s not all brown.
