I would say yes, it is worth to get the OEM stuff. @daveeasa makes conversion harnesses if you do go that route.

Assuming you are talking about a 2022 Sport, and OEM LED, you have only one real choice, pro or not pro aka black vs chrome. You only have to decide what is worse, a small chrome band or pro badging on a sport. Or pay for no vtec Kevin to bake and debadge a pro set but that’s going to cost.

You do have options for the harness, DIY, eBay, me, TRS, maybe others. That part is mostly inconsequential though.

There are two good reasons for keeping halogen headlights:

    1. Must have ability to melt snow
    2. $1k on lighting exceeds budget / value over expected lifetime.

For a new 2022 sport I think 2 is on shaky ground but for NE I can see how 1 applies.

Im not All that worried about pro badging on the sport wouldn’t bother me at all
Not a big fan of the chrome.
I’m guessing I could get any TRD led headlights to fit the sport, no?
It’s just a matter of finding a pair…I don’t see them for sale much.
Honestly I’m not against aftermarket options. Sometimes aftermarkets are better than OEM there’s just so much to choose from it’s confusing..
But these are very confusing times

It’s not remotely confusing. Aftermaket is garbage outside of morimoto xb v2 which has some good points and some bad points. All the data is available in crashnburn80’s 3rd gen lighting thread. OEM LED is the clear pick. If pro badging does not bother you (that was my choice) you only have to locate a decent deal and pay, then install.

It’s by far the superior option for us.

Keep an eye on this thread for the next deal. Could be right around $1k on the nose for the pair.

I will keep an eye out…I saw a pair listed in Seattle for $1350….I’m hoping to find something in New England or at least the general area but I can get closer to one 1k

One of the owners, Nai, has been super responsive the past few months with me. I got a text within an hr everytime I had a question.

You got it. Yeah, they installed an ALU-CAB explorer canopy and Nai, one of the owners, has some dealerships so they scored me some Toyota wheels. They know their stuff.

Reviving this old thread as I'm looking for a shop in the Boston area for a suspension + leaf upgrade.

The labor quotes are all over the place.
    - Mainline NH quoted 7 hrs of work for the kit + UCA + alignment.
    - Roko went with 18.5 hrs...which seems....like cmon. I called them out on it as they're just the more convenient shop location wise and they said they can refer me to customers that went Mainline and had disastrous results + "The work is extensive, and when done poorly, can cause lots of issues." Kind of turned me off on them...but now I'm worried about Mainline hah.

Roko is not great in my opinion and not worth the premium. They want crazy prices, and crazy labor costs, but the problem is that once they do your initial work, it's difficult to get them to return a phone call or email. Nai is the car dealership owner's son, but he does nothing and has no involvement in the day to day. He's funding (or rather, his father, is funding) what is largely a poorly run side business. Jonathan does everything.

Unfortunately, I found Mainline to be pretty bad too and very annoying to work with when I was getting price estimates/quotes, etc. They are significantly less than Roko and very near to my house, but they are not very consultative and only want to throw around invoices. If you aren't entirely sure of what your options are or have questions Mainline in NH is bad and if you get Luke at Mainline in NH my advice is to hang up the phone because he knows nothing, doesn't want to be on the phone for even 2 minutes, never does what he says he will do and is just not helpful at all. Everything takes forever.

It's a shame, but the East Coast is just not very well served.

You could always join us for a mod day and we can get it done for the price of helping others, pizza, and beers.

Unfortunately there aren't too many good shops anymore and most of us do our own work. What vehicle and type of upgrades are you looking to do?

    Ah thanks guys. Appreciate it.
Actually moving back out to San Diego so figured I’d just wait to get everything setup over there now. Trying to do everything but the suspension myself.

pic of the truck so far!

When’s the move out? If it’s in a bit, we can hang out your suspension, sell your old stuff so you have less crap to bring.

Hmm I was just going to wait until I get out there to buy everything. Moving sometime in August! The rear is already sagging maybe .25inches more than the front which is annoying me though hah.

And ya Nai is the one who responded to my emails and then gave me references to reach out to for people that went to Mainline in NH and had a bad experience. I never reached out as the 18 hrs of work is absolutely ridiculous and I don't really love that business practice.
