2002 Powerstoke diesel - looking for a Tacoma or Hilux
LOL! Ferris Bueller? That was awesome. You got me there. I like you guys! That is why I am still here. Plus, I still believe that manufacturers watch the better forums and feedback does make it to them. I can only hope for a more fuel efficient Tacoma. One does not buy a Tacoma for its stout capability in payload or towing. It is a compromise truck, that is slurping fuel at a full size rate.
I agree, I think the Colorado diesel has enough issues that I have no interest. All the new diesels can make you go broke out of warranty. That is one thing the Taco has going for it for sure. C'mon Toyota, a little more leg room in the middle rear and another 2-3mpg. :)

You have utilized the 5ft-bed and for that...

    I love you, man!

I had about the same amount of room in my 2003 Honda Pilot (I know I keep talking/mentioning her).

With the 2nd & 3rd row seat down on the Pilot, it almost equated to what you got there with a cap on the Tacoma 5ft bed.

Even though it's only 1 ft longer, I figured I couldn't get it to fit in my 2-car garage.

Heck, the DCSB may just barely fit!

The additional rear legroom would be great.
I would be happy to maintain same mpg, but increase power/torque.

I’ll sleep back there on a cot for quick 2-3 day camping trips, another reason the LB works better. Though going to build a camp trailer this winter, so really not an issue. Still like the ACLB better, plus it looks cooler… :p

Now that's getting the most out of a five foot bed. Don't recall seeing that much stuff in a full size pickup. I too have a five foot and it does everything I need. That my man, is pure genius!

I can't argue about the extra foot in the bed. I put myself in there and could not get comfortable even diagonally and I'm 5'7".

But that's why I would consider a RTT and a Bed Rack...wouldn't matter the bed size!

Considered a RTT, have a Wildernest on my 1st Gen…discovered don’t really like having the camper or tent or what-have-you attached to the truck. Always want to run around after everything is setup. Cot is just to hold me over until I build my trailer.

    Thank you sir!

I used to load trailers in high school, hand bombed and used a forklift. I learned how to organize and stack items quite well haha! I had to load everything I was given, no questions asked.

You know I used to laugh at guys with RTTs. I slept in one and never gonna go back to sleeping on the ground.

Just a bit annoying hauling my 70 pound beast up there.:)
