    Howdy,
I am up in Flag on a KTM 690, but I tend to head south during the colder months when I can.

Figure it would be fun to have a place to talk bikes and trails and maybe even get out and ride

Checking in here - I've currently got a Ktm 1090 Adventure R im selling in the classified thread. Also an older XR650R trail bike that is plated. Im eyeing the new 1290 Adventure R if I can get it for the right price.

Its still a little warm out here but where are you all riding around Phoenix? Typically I venture out to Nevada and California for longer trips but I need to plan some more local trips when the weather is nice.

Any pit bike guys? - Ive just picked up a CRF 110 in pieces thats slowly going back together and Id love to find some smaller minitracks.

    Cheers - Dave

What makes you want to go from the 1090 to the 1290?
The 1290 looks sick but a bit big for off pavement for my taste.

Selling because I'm itching for the latest and greatest.

They're all big, its just coming to terms with the weight and power. If you use both of these aspects as a strength then you're going to love taking the big bikes down some fun twin track roads. No 500lb bike is going to be fun on single track switchbacks. One of the reasons I recommend and ride the KTM bikes over some of the other Japanese and German equivalents is their focus on suspension adjustability and technology. That being said, ive kept the 1090R the longest of any ADV Bike.

Makes sense and looks like a lot of fun.
I shy off highway use since my son was born so my 690 is my unicorn. seems too good to be true when it comes to power / mass. I can cruise at 80+ if I want to but I can also play on B level routes no problem

Where have you gone out down here? I'm more north Phoenix. Been wanting to get some dirt on my 690. I used to ride dirt bikes but haven't in probably 10+ years. Bought the 690 hoping I'd get out on some dirt but still haven't.

If anyone has any leads on a used trailer for cheap let me know too. I'm looking for something around a 5x8 maybe 5x10 to transport the bike around.

    temporary pause.
I had an incident on it a few weeks back (no crash, but just something that has scared the bejeezus outta me). I need to get my head back in the game first. I’ve realized what type of riding I want to do, and this bike isn’t it. But I’m really eyeing the new 310gs!!

I spend most of my time up North but Sheeps bridge was a fun ride.
I did the Apache trail out to the lakes but I think it is all blown out now.

Bummer but it happens. I used to commute on my Honda CB500X and there were a couple times I switched to bicycle/lightrail after a close call.

The 310gs is pretty cool. I rented the "street fighter" version that had the same engine (just crap suspension and goofy seating position) and I was impressed by the power it puts out for the size. It was a little buzzy at 70+ but it could do it.
Wouldnt be bad for around town or some fire roads.

Haven't been to SB in years. Last time I was there I crossed some really flooded sections. It was a blast.

    I like those 310 bmws.

Any good gear shops around the North Phoenix area? I need some new pants. Probably will end up ordering online but I like to try them on for size first as moto gear very rarely fits me properly
