Trac Light On After New Exhaust?

Code is just a catalytic converter inefficiency, but why did my Trac light come on with it? Also I have a new clock spring ordered for the airbag light

 

Very common for the traction control system to be disabled when there is an engine code as it relies on the engine control system to be working properly.

 

Will spark plug antifoulers work to remove this code?

 

If you have deleted the converters completely they may or may not work, they tend to work better with failing converters than none at all.

 

Almost certainly not, you removed your cats the only thing that will fix it is putting your cats bag in.

You can try URD O2 sims to mask it but no guarantee that will work for you and even if it does if it will be a permanent fix.

 

I believe URD stopped selling their o2 sims

 

Start trolling the classifieds then I suppose.

Or start looking at stand alone engine management, though that won't fix the trac light either...

Or you're going to have to put your cats back in.

 

Probably just going to disable the mil light with a tune, should clear the trac light as well

 

You can also turn the code checks off with a tune.

 

Did not know that, nor did I think it was possible on a 2nd gen, I know Toyota likes to keep their ECU's and BCM's under a tight lock.

 

Yea I know HP tuners can disable specific codes not sure about the other tuning systems, I'm running a HP tuners tune on mine from @JustDSM although my truck is stock and I don't have any codes disabled. It certainly wakes the truck up although actual power gains are minimal without supporting mods.
