The goat reference is because goats are excellent rock climbers.

Clearer context for goat reference. Tacomas and goats have things in common.

Doesn't that place starve engines to failure? MORR When I first watched this, I was expecting engine failure.

It may very well do that.....wherever that location happens to be. Be that as it may, the point of the thread however, was merely to illustrate the likeness of Tacomas and goats.

So glad I drew the line in the sand way back when with FB. I do get a little pffftttt'd when a company I'm thinking about buying something from does all their business from FB. Hard pass, even if I would like the products.

If you mean the photo of the Tacoma climbing the rock face….well yes, you are right! I’ll be a monkey’s uncle! Where is the smoke? You are so sharp, you just might cut yourself! Be careful!

Irrespective of your thread about Tacomas smoking, the video shows the truck climbing the rock face. In case you missed it, there is a video that precedes the still photo. I posted the still photo side by side with goats on a rock face for the benefit of someone else who didn’t get the goat connection. The fullness of the discussion becomes apparent upon seeing the video earlier in the thread.

I saw the video and got your goat reference, and I am sorry, I was just kidding. I have to admit the truck did really well, I was only joking about it being fake because of lack of smoke. That situation doesn’t always happen, but I was surprised it didn’t due to the steepness of the climb.

It’s good he didn’t stall out the engine or oil hydrolock it, would’ve sucked going back down without power. A buddy of mine did that on a Landcruiser and they flipped it backwards head over while coasting backwards down the hill.

I am no expert on animals that climb rock faces. So I’ll stand corrected about them being Mountain sheep, and not goats. Thankfully we averted a discussion on the different species of animals that climb rock faces! Still, I am glad you got the gist of the discussion.

Your points on the possible pitfalls of a manoeuvre like this; of which there are readily many, not the least of which is the one you pointed out, are noted as well. Thanks. Have a good rest of the week.
