Does anyone have the weather tech wind deflectors. I was thinking about getting them. They are secured by pressure, and was wondering if anyone has had them in for a while? If so do they stay in one spot?

Mine have been in place since December of '14. No movement.

They actually have a super thin strip of adhesive on the top edge. Once you get them in position, you roll up the window and let them sit a couple days. So it's a combination of friction fit and adhesive fit.

I had them on my ‘18 taco and my ‘21 tundra. They worked just fine.

I used AVS branded versions of the same on my wife’s car (WeatherTech was out of stock at the time), and I actually like them better. They seemed to fit better I think. So I went with AVS on my new ‘22 taco. YMMV.

I'm afraid the in channel ones would scratch my window tinting. But I don't want to tape the AVS ones to my window frame. Guess I'll do without.

Your windows have tint on the outside?

Just don't want my window shoved in a channel a long with the plastic visor. Looks like it would scratch it.

I’ve had these on many many vehicles. They do not scratch the glass nor effect tint in any way. Zero cause for concern.

Late to this game for sure, but figured I’d give the AVS in channel vents an honorable mention. I have them on my 2019 and they have been great. Really inexpensive too. I think the set was less than $60 from Amazon.

Im glad you brought this up! Previously, I’d been a big fan of WeatherTech wind deflectors. When it came time to outfit my ‘22 Taco, those were out of stock. The AVS products were available, so I gave them a try. To my surprise, I like them better than the WeatherTech versions. They fit better and look better in my opinion.

Mostly stock - but I do have a suction cup phone holder - its pretty sweet
I have the wind deflectors on my 1st gen - and yes they are 'pressure fitted' but I don't see an issue with the glass/scratching. But one thing that did seem interesting is the they state that they are made in Germany! I guess not all their products are made in the USA.

I had the WT's on my '04 Ranger - the slimness of them were a nice touch - more flush

Easy to install (warm/sunlight reccomended for flexibility)

I left the windows up for 2 straight days to let them settle. Mine had no tacky on them, just straight pressure keeps em in.

They looked great and were solid. Only issue (which could've been down to the 20yo truck) was one day I was leaving the park w my dog & I rolled the window down so she could fling her head out and it just fell on the ground . She must've hit it daily which could've led to it. Popped it back in and it never happened again.

I dig em for the sheer clean look of em and no sticky crap on the outer door

Another for AVS in-channel. I had the fronts tinted the same tone as the rear windows...no scratching.
