    Stock rims/offset? I really dig this....

    My OR doesn't come till end of the month and I had no intention of doing a bumper that needed any cutting and was thinking of just going with the factory lift but I really dig your set up. A LOT.

    Wondering if I can make that work on the factory TRD lift and stock rims.

    I'll post here and the Texas Classifieds when I sell mine; I'll be moving to 35's later this year.

    This is a really specific question, but has anyone switched from General Grabber A/TX’s (not the X3) to a 255/85/16 tire?

    My Grabbers (265/75/16) are pretty loud on the highway and I’m trying to figure out how much louder a 33” skinny would be before I make the leap.

    I haven't had the Grabbers but I went from SL rated Wildpeaks (SUPER quiet) to the 255/85R16 Geolandar's and they are much louder. But also much quieter than tons of the trucks I hear driving around that drone like crazy. On my truck they really only make extra noise around 40-50mph and above/below that speed the extra noise is very minimal, IMO.

    Thanks for the info man. Yeah, my Grabbers are E rated and have very aggressive tread so I’m wondering if the 255/85/15’s would be about the same in terms of road noise.

    I’m dying to make the change to 33” skinnies but I’m concerned about road noise because I do so many long road trips.

    Road trips is about all I use my truck for and generally on trips like that we're always going >50mph or offroad where it doesn't matter anyway. I also recently added some sound deadening to my truck which has been a nice addition. It doesn't really tamp down the tires when they're at their loudest but it takes the edge off and has helped with general road/wind noise. And I still haven't even gotten around to doing the doors yet. It's a bit of work and added weight but for me I think it's been worth it for the added comfort and better sounding stereo.

    Interesting. It sounds like we use our trucks about the same way. That surprises me about the road noise being lower at high speeds, I would have figured they would be howling when you’re on the highway.

    My fear is that if I upgrade to 33’s, I’ll go deaf on our 4-5K mile trips. But if you’re saying they aren’t bad at highway speeds then it might be just fine.

    I just spent a fortune at Discount Tire for new ones so you’ll have to sell them to someone else!

    My Coops weren’t that loud and so far my Wildpeaks seem quieter. Both are definitely much quieter then KO2s
    You and me both :rofl::anonymous:
