Hey y'all, I've been browsing through pages looking for a solution, but I haven't been able to find a specific answer just yet. I'm looking to add Fog Lights to a prewired SR (using the same Nitori's thread page everyone seems to use for this), and I was wondering if there was a way to do it without replacing the stalk? I know it's not a huge deal to do, but I'm still pretty new at electrical work, so I'd feel more comfortable adding a simple switch or something like that than I would working around airbags and taking off the steering wheel and all that. I'm hoping to use factory wiring because I want to do this in the cleanest way possible. 3 questions...

    1. If I just plug and play lights with my current stalk, I know I wouldn't have direct control over them, but would the fog lights still work on "auto" on the existing stalk?

    2. If I have to add some way to control them, is it possible to use the existing pre-wire with a switch/button that I could place in one of the blanks instead of a new stalk (the way people do for non-pre-wired SRs)?

    3. Is there any other/easier alternative to installing fog lights without switching out the stalk?

Also open to any other tips, tricks, or insight!

I did this with my 2018 SR. There is a particular wire in/near the steering column that you run to an in dash aftermarket switch. You then run a wire between the switch and a ground. There should be a write up on this somewhere on here. You get the fog light on indicator on the dash as well.

Re-read Nitori's huge post. There's added panel switch and stalk swap.
