Wasn't paying close enough attention and stripped it. Any tips for getting it out?

It doesn't look too bad. Is it seized or did you just use too small of a size? Could try vice grips if you can get in there. Try hammering a bigger size in or even an allen socket.

It was the right size. A bit seized but the others came out with the same bit and little effort.

Also could grind a slot down it and try a flathead screwdriver. Extractors are great too.

I've got a heat give I could aim at it but still need to get a bit in there. It should come out without any heat I just wasn't paying attention and the wrench slipped and stripped it as I tried to take it out

Grind a slot for flathead (you might have to use it sideways if it's really seized) or grind flats on the sides for an adjustable wrench or a serious pair of pliers. Worst case, you can weld a bolt head to the top and use a wrench/socket/etc

I had the same thing happen with one stubborn last one and I stripped it pretty good, using a screwdriver some vicegrips and a lot of pressure on it I was able to get it out in the end.

No heat. The that screw goes into a plastic insert. All inserts for those screws on my truck are stripped out somewhat, which I first noticed when I did my tailgate lock. Surprised that screw is seized like that.

I’ve heated up a lot of my bed bolts, just can’t go stupid. Also an old license plate around the head helps. But yeah if it is one that goes into plastic then yeah no go.

Fire wrench works fine... Until plastic is involved. Then you have a $7k mistake.

Oh that's a bed bolt. Thought it was a tailgate bolt. Drill and use a quality, correctly sized EZ out

Ahh man I feel ya on this. Beginning of the year I went to add a rail to the cab side of the bed and ran into the same issue. Tried multiple ez outs, reverse drill bits (even broke one in the hole), slotting the bolt. It just kept getting worse and worse. I think there may have been thread locker. Was about to give up and have someone weld a bolt on top to hopefully get more leverage. Then my dad gave me one of my Grandpas chisels from the 1930-40s to try and wouldn't you know it a few whacks and that sucker started turning. Thanks Grandpa!
