I'm thinking about laying down an engine and trans so mine will never blow.

Anyone recommend a good engine and/or trans shop anywhere in the Northeast I can talk to about having used engines shipped and driving to pick up?

    Thanks.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Do you want to narrow things down somewhat?

I would hate to offer up a local builder because they have so much local work they don`t mess with shipping .

I don’t think the parts exist to build the engine you want

I don't mind having pulled parts shipped to them and then picking it up - I'd obviously have to talk to them about if they want to do that.

You don't think I can get a used motor and trans and have a shop overhaul them?

I don’t think the parts exist to make a bullet proof engine like you want. It’s not like an American V8 where you can get forged pistons in stock at any speed shop

Oh, I meant that if I had replacements on hand the ones in the truck would never shit - that's how it works, right?

If you just want a replacement engine in case yours decides to grenade? I don’t see why you can’t have that done.
