You're absolutely right, the last part of my statement should be, "and as it about to leave your sideview you can start to see it out your side windows."

I went X2 Group 31 AGM <here, but some argue it requires a "tune" with alternator voltage settings changed. A AGM 27 is another option with the 2nd gen battery tray. The starter is noticeably faster.

I have used Optima in the past. It seemed like it lasted forever. Honestly, I only went with an Autozone OEM replacement for the Tacoma because I put very few miles on it.

Not sure where you’re basing those numbers from, my 2010 OR was 11 years old when I sold it. Factory battery the entire time. Never any issues.

TRD emblems, tinted windows, OEM running boards, AVS vent shades, RMAS upgrade, LED lights in front and rear, interior LED lighting upgrade, LED lighting in bed, touch control dash mount for LED lighting, auxillary 12v and USB jacks in bed, replace all speakers with Infinity, custom mod with Bose tweeters, TRD Pro illumination mod...
Better batteries then. My 217 went through 2x OEM batteries. Then bought a larger one from Canadian Tire.

As with everything YMMV- I’ve had a couple buds in your camp, but more in the barely 3 year camp. The OEM batteries seem to be hit or miss - and one shouldn’t be super surprised if theirs shits the bed in 3 years

Put some yellow lamin-x on my factory LED fog lights. Turned out looking really good, we will see how it looks at night though. I dont drive much at night, but in the winter time I will be out on the ice and I need to be able to see snow drifts and holes so I dont go swimming, but I also dont want to be blinding everyone else on the ice with my headlights.
