Hello, I need help trying to figure out what all needs to be replaced on my front and rear suspension. Recommendations on specific brands would be great as well. Both upper control arms are completely broke off and need to be replaced. I was wondering if anyone could tell me everything I have as far as suspension goes based on the pictures. I know very little about suspension so any information helps. The dealership told me I had a lift, can anyone please tell me what lift I have. I would like to keep the same stance or leveled. I do absolutely no off-roading so I want something with the best ride for on the highway. I prefer something middle of the road as far as price goes. Also, I know the frame is very rusty. It has been checked and I’m planning on painting/treating it. Thank you!

you have old Bilstein 5100 shocks in the front and maybe 4600's in the back. Probably stock coils up front, you dont have any rear add a leaf or spacer block so your front suspension is set to probably ring 2 on the strut. I have a 06 tacoma 4x4 TRD Off Road and just did what you are requesting to my truck. parts were off Amazon and shockwarehouse.com .. see below:

5100's have adjustable height setting with rings on the strut.

I was on ring level 2 on the fronts and went to ring 3 for a slight increase with the plan to install a AAL soon. I did experience my headlights are super high and blinds people so I am going to adjust them down until I balance the backend upwards with the AAL to match the front rise. I did no think about that initially.

    Front: re using stock coils...

    Umm..

you have WAY more to worry about than suspension on that truck. That frame is likely TOAST with all that rust.

Holy rust dude. I'd be looking at a new frame or truck instead of new suspension if I were you

random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I feel it looks more dramatic that what actually is. Again, when I was on the East I drove new cars and clean the undercarriage of the vehicle on a weekly basis so I’m not that familiar with what’s good and what’s bad. Could san blasting be an option for preparation to woolwax the thing? And when it comes to suspension It depends on the weight and how you’re going to use the truck. I’m fine with 5100’s all around(ome 885 springs and bottom clip in the front) removed overload spring in the back with a home made 3 aal (6 leafs total) I don’t carry weight of heavy bumpers or winch. Cheers!

Im betting there are multiple points on the frame you could stick a finger through that you shouldnt be able to.

Check my build thread...too much to list.
What ever suspension you decide on getting I'd also look at new hardware. By the looks of it some of the bolts/nuts will need extra assistance to be removed.

The control arm isn't broken off in the pics? The front shocks look to be stock Billies, there are no rings or grooves above or below the lower spring cup on these. The rear shocks look stock as well. Not really clear what the problem is other than they are probably worn out as they are OEM. Front shocks and springs and rear shocks at a minimum, if you are planning on lifting it go with the 5100 fronts and rears and either blocks or add a leafs in the rear (add a leaf will ride better).
