    Hi All,
Wanted to confirm if this remote tailgate lock works specifically with the '22 TRD OR DCSB.

Not sure why but all the Toyota parts sites say it doesn't fit:

Just wanted to double check before I pulled the trigger on the purchase. Thanks for the help.

That’s the part number I have.
I’m removing mine if you want it.

I have the same kit. It should fit. Just make sure its for the DCSB and not the DBLB.

thanks was just researching this tonight and running into the same brick wall. I installed on my 21 SR5, but picking up a TRD off road 22' and was wondering if its the same install process, plug and play? thanks.

Update: can confirm the remote tailgate lock kit OEM works for the 22 off road model plug and play!

Curious why you're removing it. It was the first thing I did to my truck and I added an interrupt switch/valet switch so I could lock stuff back there without giving access to people who don't have the tailgate key.

Thats it and yes, its plug n play. Takes about an hour. Zip ties underneath being the most time consuming part.
Game changer mod. No more fumbling around with the key in the dark.

I ended up keeping the lock there when I sold the Tacoma. This mod was my first on all my 3rd Gens. I hated using the key.

Still need to pull the trigger on purchasing the remote lock but from what I've seen it should work out.

Update on my end. Can also confirm that the Toyota Part #PK3B6-35JS0 will fit on 2022 OR DCSB. Put it on yesterday. Install was about 1.5-2 hours. So far so good!

I did not and 2 years later, I dont have any issues. Probably my favorite addition to the truck.

Unrelated, but one issue I ran into during my installation is that the LED under car puddle lights used the floorboard cutout and I could not squeeze the pop lock harness through the gasket. I had to use another cutout that was further back and more central, somewhat need the middle rear seat where the feet are. It was a pain but I made it work.

So just an FYI for those who have the LED under car puddle light accessory, you may run into some complications.

@nucl3ar Thanks. I went with a bit more of a bootleg, "this won't rust but I hope it lasts," route.
