Aloha @Sprig ! I know that trip is worth every penny. It's just paradise!
Meanwhile, back in the 48, I mowed, got my third Clear coat on the project parts, cleaned underhood, and me and a beer are going here...

That is one thing I will splurge on, is good restaurants. Not often, but then not often enough for me. We've been to some great ones. Some not very well known. Some that have since closed so I'm really glad we had the opportunity.

    Bon appetit...

Sorry, no one over the age of twelve goes by "Cooldood", uses that kind of pic, or uses the name tete d'etron.

Come back in fifty years or so.

(I should talk about pics, right?)

    Holy Cow, Batman!
During my little project, I finally gave in to the fact that the driver side fender flare was going to just be removed by the next car wash. I remembered that the Antenna Mast project had the clip part number:
    75396-35020.
Once I managed to type it correctly in a search, I found the motherlode available at Amazon!
Amazon.com: 120Pcs Fender Flare Clips, Xislet Retainer Fastener Rivets for Bumper Fender Liner 90189-06065 Compatible with Toyota 4Runner Tacoma RAV4 Replace 75495-35010 75397-35010 90189-06013 : Automotive

I wish I had a good left rear flare to put back on. That kit is awesome.

Anybody have any advice on an aftermarket flare kit? When I brought my Taco back from the dead the only thing I couldn't save was a flare... and I'm not springing for an OEM flare from Toyota. I tried buying a set on Amazon and the hardware in the package wouldn't work with the flares they were sent with. It would be nice if the truck looked complete.

Do you have a local/state for sale site - or want to buy. You're probably going to have to paint it. Or, actually, check on EBay because you can get many wrecked parts cheap. We've replace most of the underneath panels on my sons Prius that way. And it's now a coast to coast to coast car!

Right. One of my pet peeves is that manufacturers grossly overstate the hp ratings on electric motors. The one in question did not have the decimal point before the 5.

5 hp would have required about 40+ amps at 120 volts.

I had a shop vacuum that had a similar over rating on the hp of the motor. The motor used (probably) 20 gauge wire and the size was about 3" diameter and maybe 5" long (as I recall). There is no way that could have produced the advertised hp.

Having just gotten back from the Big Island my review mirrors yours. Honey crisp apples were 7.99 a Lb. But Fish was so cheap! Still I will find a way to live out my days there.
