My antenna snapped or someone broke it.

What is the best way to remove and reinstall the busted antenna base?

    Any recommendations?

More details/clarification would help. Did the snapped antenna leave its male threaded end in the antenna base and you're just trying to figure out how to get that removed? Or is the whole antenna base busted? Any photos you could share?

Unfortunately every time I've had to replace 05-15 tacoma antenna's in the body shop it's been a 4 piece set replacement because of corrosion. Antenna - Nut - Plastic base - Antenna base which runs into the dash and A - pillar. burrito782 has the right idea with the tutorials. But don't use a drill to remove the old ant. to avoid paint damage if possible, use a belt sander with a 60-grit belt.

So I ordered the tool from Amazon, so it fits, but the hard rubber o ring is in the way. I need some guidance and how to safely cut it. The stud extraction is easy enough but the Antenna Nut is my concern.
