I can’t say I’ve ever used it. I’ve always used all purpose in my doughs and they’ve been fine. I’ll have to give 00 a shot next time if I can find it.

Look for 00 flour - you'll understand why once you get it down.

Smoked ground beef (above) - mix ground beef (20% fat, organic) with some olive oil and heavy amount of Italian spices (fennel, oregano, basil, black pepper, to taste with some pepper flakes and salt and some thyme and marjoram(light on these)) in 12" cast iron pan and place in smoker at 275°F until cooked. WOW tasty.

    Wife made awesome crust

    Oil base
    Beef
    Onions (very thin sweet yellow)
    Green olives
Sunchola cherry tomatoes (pre roasted) (wow made the pizza!)
    1/2 burrata cheese, rosemary
    1/2 anchovy

I’ve done it on a gas grill using a baking stone with homemade dough. I just sprinkled it with course cornmeal to prevent sticking. It turned out good and had the grilled taste. I’ve never tried adding wood chips but the thought has crossed my mind.

I was thinking after my post maybe use a pizza stone? I have one. The grilled taste is what makes pizzas cooked this way unique and worth experimenting to get it done right.

Yes @Bkicks333 's pizza looks fantastic.

Last time I posted about pizza on the grill, the bottom got burnt. Today used a pizza stone, no burning at all. Used store made pizza dough, cooked it for a few minutes. brought it back in the house and put the toppings on, then back on the grill. Just had to move kind of fast even with a grill mitten, the stone was pretty hot. I found there's also a grilling forum on here, all kinds of topics I'm finding! I posted there also with a picture.

What I meant was the post there had a photo. Normally I'd use more cheese, but only had provolone on hand which I sliced thin.

Just saw your Sept. 5th pizza - man that looks good. I picked the last of the cherry tomatoes today, used them with a salad but now wish I put them on the pizza.

Just seen this thread. This was last night in the new pizza oven. Yes we got a char, but only a surface burn. Was good as hell.

The 00 flour makes a big difference in the crust.

dang thing was cooked in a minute +/- .. damn sure do not walk away from it.

Yes a char is fine, still good. I should get one of those pizza 'peels'. Would have really helped moving it to and from the grill 2 times.

I then noticed the brand name - looks like it came with the oven.

Cooked mine in my Ooni Pro 16 tonight - 00 Flour rocks -
Neither were picture perfect but both of them tasted fantastic - !

Ooni Pro 16 uses wood ... I use Oak Wood and the flavor is fabulous -
You should try baking some bread in that thing...you'll never go back.

Those look great - no reason to have it be perfectly round. I usually don't bother trying to do that anymore. Can't say I've heard of 00 flour, sounds like it's good to have on hand.

In cooler weather (getting here now) I often cook thawed frozen bread dough in the oven. The Ooni looks like a good alternative for that and pizza.

Nah, the peel was separate, But works. We did pull the pie out and turn it on that and shove it back in a couple times. Wife had a smaller peel show up later that night after the festivities were over with.
