Anything to say about that UCA? I was between that one and a JBA. I want factory style rubber for all mounts and OE style ball joint for little maintenance.

I can’t speak for the freedom offroad UCAs, but I can about the JBAs… I love my JBAs. They are still has red as the day I put them on and perform extremely well. IMO they’re the best UCA for the money. They have a very good range of motion.

I've got a year and a half on my rc 6 " with front adjustable coils . I only had to replace one rear shock first 3 months due to qc issue . Replacements came as pair so I have a spare rear resi shock. Passengers compliment the soft ride . I have my front set to 2 and the rear at 1

What failed on the shock? Something to look out for or just a fluke?

Did you have an issue at full droop with extreme angle and CV axle binding? Just installed the 3.5 vertex and when installing the JBA UCA was damn near touching the coil and noticed the cv binding when turning the hub. Put pressure upwards on LCA about 1/2” and no bind and no binding when tires on and on the ground.

dang these are really nice riding. Much much better then the 3” readylift 6112s

I have no issues whatsoever. And I do a fair amount of off-roading.

Thank you for information. I’m going to throw my sway bar back on and that should limit droop. But then again I’m not sure how often I’ll be in a situation where I’ll have that much droop. I spend a lot of time on the gravel roads and such but hoping to get out and do more off-roading

I should add that I also do not run a front sway bar anymore. It’s odd to me that your experiencing issues. I do my own alignments to, so that might be part of it. I wouldn’t think the alignment would cause the issues your describing though. Do you have any added weight up front? I have full steel skids and a hidden winch mount/winch.

RCI Steel Trans skid with cat shields, transfer case Steel Skid and OEM front (for now, RCI coming) 12K winch with synthetic rope and DV8 Smaller winch bumper.

It appears fine while weight on the suspension, but once you lift up and let it droop thats when the UCA damn near touches the coils and the CV binds without swaybar. Everything in the front is basically all been replaced recently and alignment just done. I just put the sway bar back on so that should help reduce the droop the 1/2" needed for no binding I guess

How often are you going to be driving around at full droop!?

What you said here about the droop without sway bar ,binding , this here is a great reason I don't want to remove mine

Definitely agree and after driving the last few weeks without and just putting it back on last night, drives much nicer with sway bar.

I guess it’s a matter of opinion. I much prefer not having the sway bay. Both on and off road seems way smoother to me. But I get what you’re saying about being at fool droop. While I’ve never experienced the binding issues, my UCA does get pretty close to the spring. I’ve got about a pinky finger sized gap there.

Agreed, removed mine about 7 years ago, no problems with binding and I wheel Moab each year. I ended up cutting up my SB, made a gate hinge out of it, it will still be there a 100 year's from now.
