Just enough to look kinda cool.
Well I drove my granddad down to Vegas in his 40’ pusher and then booked a flight back to pick my truck up and drive it 2 hours back home. Well I guess united decided I really didn’t need to do that so they never issued me a ticket even after taking payment and then telling me their wasn’t anymore available flights today. Thankfully Delta could get me home and I had my mom road trip my truck to my place and get a ride back with my sister. United airlines can suck a fat one for that. I really just wanted to make sure I could make it to work on Monday and not be left 2 states away

Well my trailer swing clip a pickup truck and busted out the guys tail light, wrinkled his fender a little but it's not much and repairable. It was my last delivery of the day! So now I sit in the clinic and wait to pee in a cup, grrr.

Man, I was actually having a good day yesterday right up until the incident, happened on my last delivery of the day. Now I still have to deal with it this morning. It's days like that that make me wonder if I should even be driving this damn truck. Funny thing is I have other places I have to maneuver around that are far more difficult than this place is even though it's under construction and there's crap everywhere. Bottom line is it was my fault, I was the one driving the truck. Felt bad for the guy whose truck I hit because it was his personal vehicle and a nice pick up, not a company vehicle. So I guess I'll se what today brings..........

Hang in there. We all have rough days, and nobody was hurt. In 5 years it won't even matter.

    That's awesome!

I was just paraphrasing something I remember using to keep my cool. Just ask yourself "will this matter in 5 years?" If the answer is "no", then it's not worth getting angry or worrying about now. So, if you're out in 5 or less, definitely don't let this weigh on you. It ruined one day, and that's enough. Today will be a good day. :burp:

Well started pulling away after getting loaded and heard hissing. Sure enough got an air leak, brake chamber. Call in the mechanic to come swap it out. Otherwise been a good day, hope everyone else has a good day.

Talk about feeling like a fish out of water! Shifts wierd, backing up is wierd. Seat sucks and positions me leaning forward so that's killer on my back.
This has just been one shitty week!

Got both kids off towards school today. Early start x 2 so it was hectic (no help, wife out of town for work)
Pursuing school bus training as Oregon has a law as of Feb that you need training to get a new CDL. Figure adding air brakes and combination after the fact would be easier and maybe this class is the best way to get over the initial hump. We will see. Not sure I want to spend any significant time hauling children around but it also doesn’t seem like very difficult work other than the noise stuff.

I'm a reserve bus driver. I have too many other things going on to do it full but it's a pretty good gig.

If you don't like kids it's not for you but I like to laugh and have fun with the kids. I like to get them riled up and then drop them off with their teachers or parents. Haha.

Hardest part is remembering the route. Ha.

Look for something like this lever under your seat. Pull up on it and you should be able to adjust the seat angle. Mines a bitch so it may be tough.
