no idea. i got my kukeman for like $1200 on sale since they were being acquired by thule.

ive been eyeing an ikamper or roofnest. they seem like the water would either run off or pool up on the awning part. but im planning on getting a shell before i make a tent swap

color matched camper shell is key!!! Its hard to find one that can handle all the weight on top.

im looking at a rsi adventure, alu cab contour, or the new gfc. all would be black, i like the way a black shell would look on cement, and they would all be able to support the weight.

gfc does offer a similar grey color though

I like the RSI but I heard of leaking problems. Can anyone else chime in? Alu cab and GFC looks ugly to me.

I just installed my RSI EVOa on Saturday. I cannot comment of the leaking yet, but it appears to be a very high quality product. Honestly the topper has been fairly life changing.

The wait times are lengthy.. not sure I can recommend a product simply based on the fast that mine was slated for a July delivery and I got a run around for 2.5-3 months before it was finally delivered during the last week of September.

I actually think the GFC looks best of the available campers, and I believe it's the most lightweight one as well. They are also starting to offer a shell option only, if someone wanted to use a different tent in combination with it.

I might be biased though, since that's what I have on mine. I can say, in contrast to the post above regarding RSI delivery time, GFC seems to nail their expected dates, especially the installs.

I got mine without any windows on the shell, but even the window option is just a panel, does not open

I have slept in the set up probably 25 nights this year. We love this tent. Getting a RTT has got us out and camping way more often.

Week and a half ago out on the White Rim Road and above mineral canyon outside Moab

looking clean after the trip

I think the GFC grey is darker than Cement

I installed my RSI the day before IAN arrived. The leak is not from the cap but from where the sides of the bed meet the back of the bed. There are a ton of posts about waterproofing your bed. I am going to go out tonight with a flashlight and some RTV and plug the two main culprits.

It is awesome I am really happy I switched from a rack to a cap.

How about the Alu Cab? My friend who is "interested" in overlanding was telling me about them and how great they are. It looks like a $10,000 option but I wanted to hear if anyone had them

I did a tune for a guy a little while ago who had one. He did the heater off the back also, can’t remember what the brand was. I talked to him about it for a while, climbed around inside. I’ll say that if I ever wanted to go fully enclosed, I would absolutely go with one of those. They’re incredible. Makes me wish I had a second truck just to put one of them on! Seriously awesome setup.

I’ve always been against rtt’s, and sold my old one cause I felt I wanted the weight savings. Well… I supercharged the ol bitch and added a leaf to the rear. Weight isn’t much of an issue now lol. Today I nabbed this on Amazon for 1505.34$ Canadian lol. I’ve seen this tent branded as many different brands all seem pretty good quality. I’m pretty pumped!
