Have a 2015 TRD OR Access Cab 4x4. Want to get a 2 inch lift but not sure what to get and where to get it. Is a leveling kit ok or an actual lift better? Also any recommendations where in the Austin/San Antonio area to get it? Want just enough lift for slightly bigger tires. Thanks in advance.

A level kit is just a spacer that goes on top of your shock tower and it kind of has adverse affects on your suspension. If you do any kind of real off roading where you are hitting those front shocks hard you won't want a level kit. You would want new lift springs and struts for the front and a add-a-leaf kit and longer shocks for the rear. You can also go with heavy duty rear springs and remote reservoir shocks for the rear as well. The later is more expensive. That will give your truck a 2-3" lift up front and a 1.5-2" lift in the rear. As for places for install and purchasing there are a few to choose from around town. @Texoma at Triple C Chop Shop in Lago Vista has done a lot of work for people here in the group but you have to schedule install several months in advance because he fills up quickly. @Mynameisbrandin with 4LOFAB also does incredible work down in New Braunfels/San Marcos area. There's also Round 2 Offroad in Austin/CP area but I don't have any experience with that shop though.

Here's an example of what a basic kit will contain: https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/p440/OME_Coil/Bilstein_5100_Kit_-_(HS05BK-1).html

    Front struts
    Front springs
    Rear shocks
Rear add-a-leaf or full leaf pack

The cost is what you can find the kit or pieces for, the basic kit seems to run around $800+ depending on what kind of springs and shocks you want.

Some websites to consider purchasing or browsing from:
    www.headstrongoffroad.com
    www.accutune.com

To give you an idea of the parts and install checkout some youtube videos:

I make jokes. Bilstein is a great inexpensive entry level suspension.

No budget really. Not looking to go all out off roading just like to get bigger tires for driving around my property over a lot of granite rocks. Need beefier tires really and don’t want to rub.

Ok, long lasting budget friendly lift, Old Man Emu. Front n rear shocks, front n rear springs, UCA's. As for the rub, after the lift, get a good alignment, (I got a guy in Leander) and should be minimal rub in front if any. Def have to remove front mud flaps.

I had to sell my Tacoma for various personal reasons but I wanted to see if anyone had any interest in buying a OEM cv axle, it needs a inner boot as it has a tear in it. I didn't drive it much once I discovered the tear, probably a few hundred miles if that. No noise came from it. So before I post it on the main for sale thread, anyone want to make an offer on it?

Also have a Wix transmission screen/filter and gasket that I never got around to installing, as well as a few extra pan drain/fill plugs that are new from Toyota. Hit me up if you want anything, just make a reasonable offer and it's yours.

I'm thinking about just pulling the trigger on the front coilovers upgrade...rather than replacing the busted Billy Strut :bananadead::spending:

Anyone have recommendations on a shop that does powder coating?

A place that I can drop my truck and they handle dismounting/remounting tires would be awesome. But i don’t know if any shops do that.

Recently applied some 3M Anti-Slip vinyl tape to the rocker panels. Durable as hell, texture similar to bed liner (but non-abrasive), and (IMHO) looks good.

Originally ordered a pallet for a job, and one change order later, I now have a metric shit ton of the stuff left over--five 9' x 60" rolls to be exact. Message me if you're interested in picking up a roll (or five). Not trying to make a profit, just recoup some of the sunk cost and get it out of my garage--so just shoot me an offer for whatever you think is fair. Links below to retail for comparison.

That's pretty un-common, you'd probably have better luck jacking the truck up and coordinating the dis-mount, powder, and re-mount yourself in another vehicle.

I've been to a lot of powder shops, never seen one with a tire machine. But that doesn't mean it's impossible!

Anyone want a free set of stock LCA and UCA off of a 2007 pre-runner with about 100k miles? No problems/noises with them other than the 100k miles and boots on the lower ball joints are torn due to removal.

Could be a good backup or be built up (welded/new bushings/ball joints).

Also have the assembled front springs, oem shocks, top hats, with a revtek kit, that should provide about a 1.5-2” lift. I kept the aluminum spacers with them, otherwise it would be 2.5-3”. These are a little crusty but are in working condition other than a rough ride.

    Located in north Austin.
