Low profile defeats the purpose. They need to be tall to do anything. I have RAGO's and they get the job done!

Bro, i'm going to let you in on a little secret. You can buy straight up rip offs of the caliraised bed stiffeners on Amazon. They're like $60 to your door and they're beefy as fuck. You literally can't tell them apart from the real thing. they weigh like 10lbs each and it's solid steel. not every chinese rip off is dog shit now a days.

I have the total chaos ones personally and like that they run all the way up to the bed railing with added tie downs.

I'm not a mathemagician or anything, but i had someone explain that the anti-stress effect on your bed walls is only effective like 50% up the bed and anything after that is just extra material. Something to do with physics or some shit. Apparently the lower mounting stiffeners are just as effective as ones that go all the way up like the TC.

Honestly I can see that being true, not a physics professor or anything here either lol. I personally just got them way back when other options weren’t on the market yet aside from Rago and Cali raised (which have horrible powder coating fyi) lol. The main goal is to provide support to the composite bed of the truck with added weight, especially those with racks, campers, and RTTs.

I'm also in this camp, and still have the TC ones. But yeah, the stress and bending really happens in the corner. Running it all the way up is superfluous. But it looks cool and gives you more tie-down points.

realistically, this type of design is 'the best' for eliminating side-to-side flexibility of the bed walls--the higher the attachment point, the better
but for anyone that actually uses the bed of a truck like a truck, this design is impossible to implement.

this design that ties both sides together would be even better. but again, it makes the entire bed almost unusable.

    Thanks
Just some 1/2 x2 metal i had from making my bed rack.
A flat stock for the bike holder a short riser and a tube the size of the front axle. Drill two holes in the bed stiffie TIG some nuts in it and the bike mount bolts on in seconds.8F1BBF0E-049F-404C-9C4F-80BBD6ACFEAE.jpg

    Dumb question…

Is there a need for bed stiffeners outside of off-road applications? I use my bed to haul shit constantly and I don’t do any real off-roading beyond fire trails.
