Put a synthetic rope on my bed mounted winch this morning. So much better than the cable that was on there for the smaller loads I plan to pull with it.

Put in bed lights (ignore junk in the bed). I was disappointed to see they weren't on the truck when i bought it, but excited to learn the truck was pre-wired to add the OEM lights. Seems cheap of Toyota not to just include these. Honestly SR5 and up should have them.

I finally got my RTT in place (CVT Mt WASHINGTON). Pretty good for a factory seconds piece.

I also direct wired my Fridge; adding the outlet in the little box in the… box? Fridge slide and a Dometic CFX3 55

Totally agree. It was the second thing I installed right after installing a mirror with Homelink. Another must have, IMO.

Valid point, I could be making it all up! It's true, it's real, and between today's Amazon delivery, my trip to the dealer parts department this afternoon, and the Paint Pro film going on it now I might have something more interesting to report soon.

Mine smelled terrible when I first got it. Made my shell reek. Now that it's had time to off-gas there is no smell.

Bed mat has a smell for a day or 2 then dissipates. Definitely less strong than when you get new tires put on. Might linger a little more if it's under a tonneau but should clear up quickly.

I went with Fosgates, not Kickers but when combined with the stock HU (non-JBL) I didn’t feel they made a big difference either. The HU just doesn’t send enough power to the speakers. But after I installed an Alpine Power Pack mini-amp it was night and day! Messing with the sound system is a slippery slope because I eventually upgraded the HU and put my mini-amp into my Rav and putting new speakers in there too

ARB differential breather kit installed today. Easy install. Just check your tubing before you cut, I forgot to and had a loop left underneath the truck. Easy fix due to its location. Then after the fit check was good I cut all the zip tie ends off.

Drove my Tacoma to the Ford dealer and purchase a Maverick I had been waiting on for 1.5 years. Signed the papers and immediately sold it back to the dealer and drove away with a $4,000 check. Never even started it. Stupid times.

Did you sell it back because it wasn’t what you expected or was the purpose to take advantage of these stupid times and make a little $$? If it’s the 2nd, that’s genius. Is it really that simple?

its only that simple because so many people want to over pay for a cheap truck. good on that guy for taking the "risk" and ordering something in high demand and flipping it back to the same dealer. congrats on your fall bonus!

It looks like you might need more slack in that hose going into the diff. You don’t want the breather hose going taught on axle articulation and popping off, or worse ripping the electrical lines you attached the diff breather hose to. At least as much slack as those brake lines should do.

Well I would like to think I'm actually that smart but in reality my plan was to buy a Maverick to work out of and a Bronco for a toy. Got tired of waiting and purchased the Tacoma. I've had two Bronco's on order for over 2 years (base model and a mid-trim model) that are slated to be built as 2023 models. I'll sell both back to the dealer whenever they get built for about $10,000 each assuming the market stays like it is.

Yes it really was that simple. Literally signed the papers to purchase it then signed a dealer vehicle purchase agreement for $4,000 more than I "paid" for it. Could have gotten a couple of grand more had I wanted to sell it outside the dealership but it was just too easy. I'm not greedy. I made money and they will make money.
