They both have their moments. If the family is rolling up to the local pizza joint we take the double cab. If I'm taking my wife out for steak and drinks is definitely the access cab.

Its just sexier then the double cab. No science, or mysticism can dispute that!





Edit: the 21 lunar rock 4runner is the wife's. The only places I drive it are the gas station and car wash. Lol

My 2nd Gen was a DCLB. I loved it except when trying to park @ WallyWorld or the grocery store. The wheelbase took a country mile to turn around.

The 3rd Gen is an ACLB. Didn't need the extra room in back, don't have passengers. Rear seats are practically useless, so they were removed and I built a shelf. Suicide doors are a PITA in a tight parking lot, need to strategically park (and then some ass parks next to you!).

 

Do you stuff your wife in the Access Cab also?

 

Oddly enough, the Access Cab, Utility Package has worked out for me. Perfect.

"I only have room for one passenger," while wearing fake sympathy look.
And yet, I have room for 3x or 4x 100 lb hunting dogs, inside.

I'm currently down to one pit bull puppy, but that will change. Getting him used to hearing 2" .410 blasts and staying with me on desert hikes.

Access cab Tacoma's are the best looking trucks out there! Besides that, everybody and their mom has a 4 door pickup with a mini box nowadays.......Boooring!

 

It makes perfect sense man, the majority of people out there in the world are goofy.

I’ve since moved on to a DC, but will never forget the memories gained by my first Tacoma, a second gen AC.

 

Love my access cab. I haven't had anyone in the back seats yet so I think I'll be removing them to make more room for camping gear
