Do you have the part number for that plate and spring plunger that you used? I have the small antenna, but it got damaged lately and I think I'm going to go with the bigger one...because bigger's got to be a least a little better, right?

Yes; I corresponded with Josh and he doesn't intend on adapting the drip rail to include a fairing bracket.
I may just have to get the drip rails and modify them myself.

I didn't add anything. I keep my truck bed empty until I go camping.
My Tacoma is pretty much bone stock (I know that makes some of you folks cringe).
I had an ARE canopy prior that was pretty aerodynamic and light, I guess.
The MPG hit isn't terrible (maybe 1-2 mpg less), but with gas prices here over $5, any bit helps.

    80/20 tee plate
    4155-Black

Attached a photo of the bracket that came with the antenna modified and eventually tapped for the spring plunger threads

If the spring plunger was a 2 pack, I might have both an extra one of those and extra 4155 plate (was meant to be a roof rack bracket but didn't fit quite right) I could mail if you aren't in a hurry and paid shipping. LMK if interested and I'll see if I still have them.

Also if anyone is really considering a swivel mount for an antenna I really just wanted to buy a prefab option but nothing else really seemed to do what I wanted for a side mount.

This is what inspired me but the dimensions weren't right for the t-tracks, and the shop never responded to my question about actual dimensions so I was unsure if it'd work anyway. I also didn't like that the pin was loose and wanted a threaded plunger.

That's what he said about a drip rail for the X1 about a year ago... Don't give up hope!

Last camping trip, a couple next to me from Canada had a built van with Weboost. I asked him about it and he said he didn't feel it was worth the $500 for the limited gain they get out of it.

Nice online that! The front quick grip is a genius move. I had mine on the side but it kept moving and that would have solved it.

Need a favor. Can someone with the SP awning brackets measure how far up they stick over the camper when closed? Trying to figure out if it would fit in the garage... It's going to be tight with the SP, but the awning brackets might get me.

I've found it's great for amplifying voice service, but it's spotty for data. You can get real nerdy to understand why, but in short it doesn't amplify every cell channel so you may/may not get amplification on a data-oriented channel. It's best to only be relying on it for extra insurance if you need to call for help or something.

FWIW I've found that a dual sim hotspot is way more valuable for data as you can swap between two carriers to find who's got the best coverage in any given spot.

Just took a look. Mine stick up about 27mm above the edge of the extrusion. Might be possible to trim 10-12mm off them at the top for more clearance. My awning as mounted sticks up a little too, and TBH my solar panels and the hardware I used to mount them sticks up just as much as the awning brackets.

Something to consider for garage access is driveway slope entering the garage vs angle you have to approach at. I have to back in to mine while turning 90* from a lane that drips down in the middle to drain water. As I do the front driver wheel drops into the low spot raising the back corner of the camper just as it passes under the garage door leaving 1/4 to 1/2" clearance. Unfortunately this means no suspension upgrades or even beefier tires for me. I did locate the fridge and water storage in that corner of the bed on purpose and the weight of the awning actually helped provide a little more clearance there as well. Adjusting the garage door level also helped and was easy to do.

Thanks! Luckily my entrance is flat into it. That is less than I thought they would stick up, so that's good. I'll have to get the awning all mounted up to see how tall that would be. I was also planning on running Yakima racks on there, and I would have to take those off to get into the garage, but those should be quick and easy.

Or I could get a bigger garage haha.

    No problem!

Bigger garage is the dream for sure!

Should clarify I was looking at the brackets again and looks like you wouldn't be able to cut them down much after all. I forgot there aren't holes in the brackets but two long slots. And maybe 1cm between the ends of the slots and the top of the bracket. But if they stick up less than you thought thats a good thing. Unless its very bulky an awning shouldn't stick up much at all beyond the top of the brackets. And like I said, you may be able to adjust your garage door a bit so the last panel doesn't hang down when the door is open.

Can anyone here confirm that a 3rd gen long bed x1 camper will fit a 2nd gen long bed? I thought I read somewhere that it will but now I can't find it. I think it needs a different tailgate seal.
