Buying a new vehicle, spending money on modifications, and trading it after 7-10 months is fun. It's also not sustainable. This thread is documentation of my attempt to keep a vehicle long enough to have to renew the registration. (I did it!) :bananadance:
    Link to previous vehicles https://www.tundras.com/threads/what-did-you-drive-before-the-tundra.10522/page-5#post-2065349

The day I drove it off the lot:
    IMG_20220520_162729.jpg
Previous owner had the front windows tinted, had it sprayed with some oil based rust proofing, put on a cheap roll up tonneau cover, and had more agressive tires put on. For being a few years old it was in remarkable shape with almost no blemishes. It was obvious that they really cared about it.

    Pics of varying recent-ness:

This Tacoma I have a primary goal and a secondary goal. My primary goal is for all my modifications to be practical (for example using stock wheels/keeping stock offset to avoid rubbing issues and also to keep rocks and mud flung on the body to a minimum.) My secondary goal is to be adventurous in my purchases (trying some knock off and or lesser known products.)

The actual first modification was a valvomax but I never took a picture so here is the first pictured modification, a vanity plate! A knockoff TRD Pro skid was also put on around the same time.

Next was the biggest mod yet. New suspension parts! Put on some 6112s and 5160s. Everything I'd hoped for and more. Wonderful ride on and off road.

    Perfect!

It's good that we can edit titles and polls, so that you can add that in, or change "Tacoma" to whatever you're driving next year.

How long do you keep your vehicles that this is a known thing with you?

I've seen you with the new girl. The way you look at her, definitely has that foreverness. And already buying her shiny things says you're really care.

Until next year, when some new model starts smiling at you......

They are super nice. Most coverage on the market. Long as their quality doesn't go downhill I'll be a lifelong customer of theirs. I uh... Haven't had to renew the registration in like 4 or 5 years....

Well, if ya recycle your vehicles as fast as it sounds, you really wouldn’t be around to know if the quality last, now would ya?
