I might be biased but I think everyone’s skipping over a much more exciting holiday.

Oh, I'd take that bet in a heartbeat. Non-stop griping about the (usually inclement) weather from my field bound buddies all the damn time.

But did they still get the job done? Absolutely.

That was the problem. Too much grip.
Couldn't let go until I jittered far enough away to unplug itself.

    Next step was the trash.

Far to many out of work lawyers ready to file a lawsuit for anything.

Pretty much any idea Mother Nature would have a Winter weather event everything is canceled

Every winter is like it’s the first one ever. People can’t remember they’ve lived through them before. Dreading driving during our first snow storm this year….

Is it because we have a new class of winter driving people every year.

New Suv`s that can do everything or so they have been told by the salesperson.

For the most I think they fall into the new suv class.

I have no place to be I can wait till the roads are cleared . In my youth I would drive 60 miles North to find Snow.

People that never watch the weather and have no idea .

I do have to admit the first time I used the "snow" button on the Highlander it did an amazing job. Without it, I highly doubt I would have made it out of my neighborhood.

    But you're right.

Now I don`t venture out near as Much as I did when working.

Most of the vehicles in interesting places where high end suv`s and awd cars.

Very seldom did I see 20 and 30 year old 4x4`s unless it was chained up driving through the field looking at the back up shutdown Interstate.

I may have been guilty also:anonymous:

    Hi crew! Plug that tire!
Still on nights working long hours but believe the end is in sight and fingers crossed Friday night be my last night shift.
I mentioned a pump we machined the case on awhile back, weld repair. Mechanics rebuilt it and it was installed. Ran for 37 hours and smoked the inboard bearing. Something amuck with the oil bubbler and it was not maintaining proper oil level. That's going to be a very expensive repair. Shaft and bearing housing roached..
Pressure and vibes were great on start up and no leaks. Me and few other Mechanics couldn't duplicate the bubbler bot working.
Used to have a couple of guys that were Mechanics then worked under engineering that used to monitor any equipment like this, especially after install. Budget cuts.
I have to machine a different pump cover tonight, this will reduce the thrust to get it in specifications.
