Hello, I have been reading a ton of articles over the last week or so on here about the best back spacing to not rub the UCA or frame with 16X8 wheels wrapped in 285/75r16 tires. From what I have read it seems 3.5in to 4in backspacing works good. I was hoping to get a few opinions on what backspacing would be best between 3.5in, 3.75in, and 4in to keep frame rub to a minimum without spacers. I have an 04 TRD soon to be lifted about 3in up front and 2in in the rear. Thanks.

I'm currently running 4.0 BS w/ 285/75-16. No rub on aftermarket UCAs or frame at full lock. My last set of wheels were the same but had stock UCAs, still no rub. Before that I had 3.625 BS but with 265/75-16, again no rub. It was froggy looking to me so I changed to 285s & 4.0.

Thank you. I have been leaning towards some Pro Comp wheels with 4in BS, so I am glad to hear that they shouldn't rub UCA or frame.

I had 16x8 Pro Comp 32 series Bandidos 4.5 back space with 285/75/16 on my tacoma with stock UCAs and they wouldnt rub. It did rub on the frame at full lock but it almost cleared it.

I just recently got some. I had 16x8 old school steelies with 285/75/16 Goodyear MTRs as my wheeling set, and the stock rims with 265/75/16 as a normal setup, but was chasing a vibration, so in a rather desperate move got new wheels and tires to rule that out. Always liked the look of the Wheelers alloy set back in the day, The ProComp 7069 is the same wheel just in matte.
