Damn these things are impressive! Quick shipping, great packaging (USPS proof), and an amazing product. I should have pulled the trigger on these a long time ago.

Drivers side done last night. Hope to get to the passenger side this weekend while I rebuild that leaf pack.

How are folks cutting the bolts?

re: protecting the area, if needed at all?

I saw someone said be careful re: grinding sparks sending hot metal towards the gas tank and ruining shock boots etc

    Maybe wet rags and bungees?

last time I cut U bolts it was underneath in stock configuration and was fine
but that sends the sparks in a different area

Wet rags could be good, careful not to have them too close to your cutting wheel and get grabbed by the wheel. Try to aim sparks away from bumpstops and fuel tank

got the second one on, taking the wheel off made it a lot easier to have room to access from the top outside

plan is to take my cordless Milwaukee M18 grinder with cutting discs to the U bolt ends next

anyone know the easiest way to do this? re: prep position?
Are you jacking up the truck and taking both wheels off? Or just do it on the ground as is

installed them as is without touching the yellow bump, bracket that holds it on, and its hardware
Not sure if that should be removed to cut/grind

the above pics make it look like left side corner bolt thread/nut is super close to the gas tank at ride height
So I’m guessing it would be better to maybe jack up via diff, place stands under frame rails
To droop the leafs down farther from the gas tank for more room to get a grinder in there

    To Canada?
We charge $55 extra to ship to Canada via US mail (less than 20lbs), not sure if or what duty is charged

Interested in getting option 3 or 4, I typically have about 900 pounds added to the rear so it seems like option 3 is right. But I was wondering if I should go ahead and get option 4 for the rare times I have +1500 pounds if it’s only a $10 difference. I typically pull a trailer once or twice a month that could make me exceed 1500.

I was also wondering how to get the discount code?
    Thanks

Option 3 for a Tacoma would be fine, but also recommended you have increased spring rate via leaf pack for that much weight.

Was just beating on my Tacoma with Opt 3 and 1,000 lbs, and they handled it fine

But if it helps you have peace of mind for being uber loaded, then go for Opt 4

Thanks for the quick response, yeah I just picked up some Alcan springs rated for 1300 pounds. I’ll probably go with option 3.
