Yesterday evening my dad stopped by my shop and helped me install the top gun spring, so much better than the stock spring, went from preload level 5 to 2 and I may drop it to one.

The bike rides so much better not being 5/8ths of the way down the suspension travel, now I just need to dial in the rebound setting.

It's truly been insane. I paid 7100(dealer had it listed for $6995) OTD for my Rally with 678 miles. New they list at $6600. The 2 dealers around me wanted $8700 OTD.........so used it was

And it came with a seat concepts seat, SRC rear master cylinder guard and kickstand foot.

I am trying to find one for $1500 but they don’t exist. Seems like everybody wants $2500-3000 for a good condition used one. I can get a brand new 2023 for $3500 otd. It’s looking like I will have to wait until after Christmas to find a deal.

Do the dealers up your way have a huge markup?
For that little bit of a difference...I would buy new :D

It’s tempting to buy new but I can’t wrap my head around spending $3500 on a pit bike.
Msrp for a 2023 KLX110rl is $2849 plus $200 for freight and $200 for prep fees and then tack on taxes and stuff.

Can anyone recommend gloves for daily driving/cruising. Current ones are about to fall apart and my dirt gloves are cold as shit in the morning. Haha.

I’ve been looking for better cold weather gloves. Years of working various jobs that required me to wear task-specific gloves has made me picky about my gloves and I prefer the short cuff versions. Even my go to welding gloves are short cuff. My daily moto gloves are the full leather Icon Pursuit- they’re unlined but have internal knuckle protection and padding at the palm. The cold can go right through them on moderate distance rides though. My main concerns for new gloves are insulation from temps/wind, short cuff, and touch screen capability (in that order). “Cold weather” for you and I means something completely different to almost everyone else here but these are my frontrunners right now:

    I did a thing.

    Constructed a bracket
    20221109_193228.jpg

    20221109_200050.jpg

    Wired a plug.
    20221111_145049.jpg 20221111_152323.jpg 20221111_153029.jpg 20221111_154912.jpg 20221109_202531.jpg

Need to trim up and shape the bracket, paint the bare aluminum, do final adjustments on the lights and it's complete.

Several people flashed me on my ride home yesterday. Days are getting shorter, but im glad I can keep the amount of light for daytime. I assume that it was because the appreciate my fogs and the amount of lumens they throw  but then again they were in the opposite lane from me

Just bought the cassini goatskin gloves. I'll let you know how they are after a few days if you're still on the fence at the time. Thanks for the suggestions!

I'll probably buy them too honestly. I was just looking for some and my icon's with liners just aren't cutting it with the wind chill factored in. Figured I'd take advantage of the free sipping this weekend.

Got a short ride in this afternoon. Didn't so much mind the 46 degree temperature as the wind. Came across a highway bridge and it took all I had to just stay in my lane due to the crosswinds. Brutal.

Free shipping got me too! then I went down the rabbit hole of listening to aftermarket exhaust systems for an hour or so. Haha. Both my bikes have stock exhausts and I'm tired of people not knowing I'm around.
