    Hello.

Is mailing away for cereal box prizes still a thing??? It is now. (Edit: Giveaway complete! Try again next time!)

I had these 1GR-FE serpentine belt diagram stickers made using the graphics from some Toyota reference material. Toyota doesn't put these anywhere on our trucks for some reason, at least that I've seen.

Check out this poorly centered and uncropped picture:

I put mine on the inside of the hood where I could see it from under the truck with the hood popped. Some trucks have room on the inside front lip of the hood, others have indentations in the way. There's no "correct" placement so just do whatever. Wipe the spot clean as you can with alcohol or something before you stick it on and it'll last probably forever.

They're pretty factory-looking. Not out of place at all.

If you want one, send a self-addressed stamped envelope (S.A.S.E.) to:

GIVEAWAY COMPLETE - TRY AGAIN NEXT TIME

They are free while supplies last. I've given a couple away but there are probably close to a hundred left and have been rattling around my toolbox for too long.

I'll update the thread when they're gone. If your S.A.S.E. is in the mail (postmark dated) before I run out but gets here after I run out, I'll send you a different, dumber and more colorful sticker instead.

No need to PM - if you're not familiar with a S.A.S.E. giveaway, here's a link explaining them.

(No need for the "bigger envelope" nonsense. Just fold up one regular first class envelope so it fits inside another.)

As best as I can tell this follows the forum rules - there is no money changing hands here and I don't want there to be. I just think it would be fun to sprinkle these around the world.

If you lurk any 4Runner forums, feel free to share the link to this thread - they have 1GR-FEs too.

Nice gesture. But common guys, just print a copy, apply clear packaging tape and cut it. I have a copy in glove box and a pic in my phone. Also have printed diagrams in the garage to the cars I maintain, along with torque values and capacities to common maintenance procedures.

Yeah, it's actually in the technical documents that way. The only thing I can think of is part number differences? I don't recall them being different when I replaced my idlers, but I could be wrong.

    Correct (different part numbers)

Rock Auto has them listed as upper and lower pulleys

The bearing inside idler #1 pulley is twice as wide as the bearing inside idler #2. Matter of fact, when I replaced the bearings inside the pulleys, I pressed two of the idler #2 bearings into the #1 idler pulley because no one, not even Toyota, sold, or currently sells, the wide body bearing for the #1 idler pulley.

Do you have the old bearings? They should have a size stamped in them, almost always in the dust shield. There are a lot of supply houses out there and bearings are fairly standard size and spec.

    Received. Thanks, @deanosaurus. Nicely done.

I modified mine slightly with my corner-rounding punch to make it a little less likely to lift under the Tacoma's bonnet.
