Added a felt headliner to my ARE Shell. Went with a two-tone design to add a little flair! Here’s the before and after pics.

I got to try out the first iteration of my cabinets in my GFC this past week. Definitely got some good experience to inform some changes before I start finishing them. For now I have the water, on board air, diesel heater, and lights working. Up next is finishing solar, fans, and induction cooktop

I like the low height cabinet on the left. Looks like you can sit in the camper even with the top down as well.

I found this company that makes bungie netting in all different sizes, shapes, and even custom made. Ordered a few odd sizes to use on the upcoming dresser build to replace my fugly but functional storage. My buddy is a great carpenter and recently built me a sweet full length drawer/sleeping platform, but was embarrassed that people might think my build was his work, so he's outright insisted he finish the build right.:smack:

    Going from this

Now I just gotta get the lumber and drop it off with him to get started.

Thx, I cut and bound the tailgate rug..Glued padding to the back of the rug and filled in the groves in the tailgate with strips of pad..Attached the rug to the tailgate with Velcro so it stays in place..So it’s very easy on the knees!

I like the passenger side shelf. How do you have it attached to the bed?

The shelf is carpeted all the way around so I put the hook part of hook and loop velcro on the wheel well which sticks to the carpet very well, didn’t need the loop part..The top shelf is flush with the camper carpet so I stretched the same Velcro from the shelf to the carpeted part of the shell in 4 places..And the legs support any weight put on the shelves..Works great!

Some really nice additions.. especially like the shelf on the passenger side of the truck bed.

Any chance you can provide more specifics on how you attached it to the bed rail and if you secured it else ware too?

edit.. see someone else posted the same question and your response above.

Actually nothing is attached to anything except for the Velcro that attaches the lower shelf to the wheel well and the upper shelf that attaches to the camper carpet..
Everything is basically floating..The carpet on the bed floor is elevated about a half an inch and it’s about an inch away from the front of the bed in case any water gets in it doesn’t touch the carpet..I’ve had the bed carpet under the tonneau cover all winter and the carpet hasn’t got wet!..The bed rails are still functional but I removed the cleats until I need them..I need to get longer strips of Velcro where the upper shelf is attached to the shell as I ran out..It still holds with what Velcro I had to use…IMG_0213.jpg

    Your finish work looks awesome.

Sorry if already asked - could you share the link/photos of the “plans” or even the cultist you used?

    Thanks.

I can't but that's because my carpenter buddy did it for me. I bought the lumber and acted as an extra set of hands during assembly. For the entire build It ended up being a total of 3 sheets 3/4" Baltic birch, 2 sheets of 3/4" ACX pine (1 for the floor and parts of the second for the removable platform inserts). Aside from the lumber I ordered custom bungie nets for the openings on the cabinet, 52" locking drawer guides, and a few packs of adhesive carpet squares. I see you're in CA. Depending on where you are he is open to custom builds and his stuff is furniture grade (he's got an unhealthy case of OCD).

I made them. They are made with reflectix and some black fabric that I glued to one side. I used the loop side of some velcro around the entire edge with some fabric adhesive. I have the hook side on the window frame for it to stick to. Shiny side out when it's hot, black side out when it's cold.
