    Hello,

so I had my truck for couple weeks and i heard a loud BING noise coming from the right front one day. Had not a clue what it could have been and the truck continued to drive just fine. I went and looked under and didn't see anything unusual. Then one day I looked at my tire area and in the front plastic fender where the tire sits behind i saw this piece hinged hanging inside it. This must have been the loud ding I heard form that area. I am curious does anyone know what this part is from??? I cant see inside and I just would like to know what may have happened or why this is busted, is this a concern?
    Any information is appreciated.

    -Cristian

ok - thanks wasn't sure so i have been holding onto this thinking it might be something i should find out about. Oh so maybe that could have been the noise of it hitting the front part kind hard. I found it right where the wheel grill cover was hanging inside it. Ok THANKS !!!

Looks like an exhaust stud. Any rust on your vehicle? Check the manifolds and see if you're missing one

x2, definitely exhaust stud, as there arent that many studded fasteners on the vehcile, and only heat will accelerate rust that quickly.

if it is in fact an exhaust stud, there is just about zero chance it came off OPs car...

of course that is, unless he was driving in reverse...

or doing some wild off roading!

One time I got a flat, Went to check it, it was a bolt, dismounted the tire, it was a bolt and a nut that i must have hit at speed. But the way it hit, it looked like someone drilled a hole, put the bolt through, dismounted the tire, and put the nut ont he other end. not super tight. but was enough to make my doubt reality for a minute.

Any chance it's a body mount bolt or what's left of it?
