    This weekends project

Full suspension for the little red truck. Nothing crazy.

    This is annoying.

Didn't realize the rear 5100s don't come with bushings from wheelers anymore. Wtf. Apparently needed to order that seperately.

We had snow on the ground this morning. Took it easy in the new car, I'm super timid with it. The threshold between grip and no grip in the rear is minuscule pressure in the throttle

would assume you don't have very good tires for snow either?

we've had a few bouts with snow and ice pretty bad this year. Already have my studs on.

They are all seasons but not actual snow tires. It's more of the power on tap. Think of it this way, 1/4 throttle in my rabbit brought into play something like 45hp. 1/4 throttle in the AMG brings in 110hp. So the ability to over power the rear is a lot closer to the edge of the envelope. I'm still getting a feel for it but it so far hasn't been too bad. Not like a morning drive in the old car where I had a hell of a time keeping it in a straight line at 20mph but it had true summer tires on that one.

I did have the thought though of I now get why Audi became so popular in that era

Grant was in a car crash last week I guess, just heard about it now lol Anyways got rear ended pretty good and likely the 4runner will get totalled.

He'll need some new wheels but only has a 10k budget, so not enough for a decent stock 2nd gen taco.

He does want a truck of some kind and has been eyeing the Frontier which I think is a decent option. I know they aren't perfect but he's got his eye on a 2011 that he can afford. I don't know much about them, other that wheeling with Tom who had one and enjoyed it a lot.

anyways, if any one has any thoughts on the Frontier or any hook ups for something decent for sale lemme know.

Shit time to buy a used vehicle right now.

Idk who Grant is but a frontier with a completely titan swap seems pretty decent, that was my plan before I got a good deal on the 07

Yeah he's not gonna do that with it haha just needs a commuter/work truck. Other option is a cheap Silverado.

I've worked on a lot of Silverados, the cheap ones are always the most expensive.

Why not look at getting another third gen? Really best bang for your buck at or below $10k with 4x4.

I've never been impressed with Nissans. If anything get a full size.

Hope he is ok and that's pretty rotten luck.

But yeah that might be an option.

He's totally fine too. No one was hurt thankfully.

The reality for me has been when I need large items or landscape materials at my house it is just worth the money, usually very little, to have it delivered to my driveway. Small projects had no problem fitting in the 4runner.
