Need more information on what was installed. Could be a CANBUS issue. Best recommendation is to take it back to the installer.

Was it an OEM JBL unit installed on a non JBL system? That could be your issue, I think the JBL system was just that, an entire stream that utilized an amp that worked on a different ohm rating or something,,, hell I dunno, I’m not an audiophile.
Maybe go back to the installer, he/she should know.

You are correct. Whole system, can't just install head unit, utilizes 2ohm speakers w/jbl.

To be honest, I purchased it from someone who was selling it out of his 2019 Tacoma. Mine died and needed a new one. Someone mentioned I may need a non-JBL entune headunit/amp/wiring?

If yours was not a jbl. The jbl that's installed won't work right. If you want the jbl, you will need all other components, plus wiring harness. Ton of work.

    Oh look, another mod....
You cannot install a JBL head unit in a truck that was not wired for JBL. You have to have the correct adapters and wiring harness. My JBL (it came from Toyota as the stock headunit) also has an amp, subwoofer, etc...

Either get the proper adapters or put an original OEM head unit back in your truck.

You may want to sell the new old HU. Start with a new aftermarket HU that integrates into your existing system.

I think @rnish advice is good. Alternatively you could call the people at Crutchfield. You might be able to get an amp that will take the output of the JBL head-unit, and convert it to line level, then boost it to work with 4ohm non-JBL speakers. They may have the harnesses and a relatively inexpensive AMP that will do the job. No hurt in asking.
