Where did you find that molle panel, perfect fit.

What size did you use and how did you attach it?

So, @GarlicFarts if Santa brings me the GMRS radio you linked below (or above, I guess) can you help me program it? Thank you for being a radio nerd that can explain this to me.

Now that I am safely in the office, a couple disclosures/thoughts.

I did have to trim it slightly for clearance for the latch. Which means you also have to sew the side seam (which is what the molle fabric is secured by). Sewing it was fairly simple but there is a plastic backing inside that you have to get though.

I have noticed that if I have it loaded with a bunch of items, the spring that opens the console cannot overcome the additional weight. I have yet to find time to try and adjust the spring for more tension; cannot confirm if it can even be done.

Other than that, its nice to have. I usually have a spare knife, pen, and some other small items on it.

If you get a GMRS radio, it will be ready to go out of the box.

If you get a Baofeng or other HAM radio, it would need to be programmed, and yes - I can help with that.

The Midland GMRS radios have weather channels too I think.

I really like that idea...I have one of those in the "intended" place on the passenger visor, but under the console is pretty slick. I might look at moving it/adding another....

Full disclosure, I found the idea on here. I cant take credit for it. Pretty sure this is the thread, but I went with self tapping screws for a secure attachment.

Who wants to help me create a fire hazard?

I want to set up a button on my switch panel to a seat heater and cooler. Whatever the amp draw is, I am thinking run that to a connector somewhere in the cab under-ish the seat, using these.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083J3VXLB?smid=A2WGJZQ5PAOUTT

Then get slip-on seat covers, cooling fans for the summer swamp ass, and heated for the winter. Snip the 12V ends, put those connectors on, and then I'll be able to easily swap them out hot and cold.

....Am I making a fire hazard doing that? I just figure I already have the switch panel, and open switches.

Well, we can make that work, but we would need to know the current draw of the seat heater. Depending on that, those connectors MAY work. If you want to be super safe, run the button on the switch panel to a relay with a much larger cable so that you can never burn down the cables. Just make sure that the seat heaters have over heat protection of some sort to avoid burning the covers and whatnot.

Yeah I don't know what the amp draw is yet, I'd have to pick one then look at the specs. I have 2x 20 and 2x 30A fuses open, and 1x 10A (I THINK, it's either 1x 5A or 1x 10A is open, I have 3 occupied).

It's a very early stages thought, TBD if I pull the trigger. I will suffer with a cold ass this winter at least, and see how bad it is. I think doing the cooled seats in the summer for swamp ass would see a ton more use than heated seats.
