    Yea, Doug im good now. had my stitches out Tuesday. I have been carrying the 4wheeler ramp just in case.did you all get wind today. last nite it was whipping here. all kinds of limbs in the road on the way out. stopped and helped a VDOT guy move a big one. the wind came in behind the rain yesterday. then this morning just quit. never seen that. usually they kind of die down. Hows the breathing. better i hope:thumbsup:

    Yes ,I was out until about 11am . Windy ,gusts on and off . I heard a couple small branches falling to the ground .It lightened up as the morning progressed.All I saw was 1 doe at first light:oops:

    Not sure what’s going on around here but my guess is the reason why I’m not seeing deer is a combination of things.
    1) Too many guys hunting this same mountain from all directions and they do not know what low impact is .
    2) UTVs and ATVs ( lazy hunters) I do not care what they say ,a mature buck will not put up with that crap in and out of his home range .
    3) clear cutting for residential land sale bordering my hunting property. Deer are rerouting around .
    4) NO ACORNS
    5) less than 2 miles from here there is over 500 acres of standing corn yet :mad:
    6)neighbor who clear cut some of his land has a son around 39 that can’t keep his feet on his own property. Walks all over and shoots at running deer . Can you say highly pressured?

    Ok you know what you can and can't do. Yes we had wind. Meds are helping but not 100 % just yet. Went to work today and am planning tomorrow going over the hill after work and just moving a care taker to a new spot about 100 yards from my boys ladder. Rain coming Friday night into Sat morning so we will see. What cut do you do your hind quarters in?

    I just break em down into the main muscle groups as roast.then can slice and fry,put on the smoker or do roast in the crock pot.or cut chunks for kababs etc… :thumbsup:

    yup,go back to work Monday. son is coming back from Ohio and wants to go sit together tommorow evening somewhere before the rain Saturday. makes me feel good he always wants to go sit together usually once a season just for a father/son hunt.
